On Saturday night from Dacotah Bank Stadium, the Northern State Football squad defeated the (5-2) Wayne State College Wildcats 28-26 on "Blackout Cancer Night." 

The Wolves trailed 19-0 at halftime, but came back to rattle off 25 unanswered points to take a 25-19 lead and eventually Drew Smook would kick a 20y FG for the win with 3 seconds left.

Freshman Jake Adams, making his first career start made 11 tackles & had a pick-6 to turn the momentum in the Wolves direction. Luke Gunderson also had a pick-6 in the second half + the Wolves got TD runs from Colton Hackel & Stanley Haskins. 

The Northern defense picked off QB Nick Bohn (WSC) four times in the 28-26 win [Hughes, Adams, Gunderson & Willis].

AUDIO HIGHLIGHTS (FB) - Northern State 28 Wayne State 26

On Saturday, 11/11/2023, the Northern State University Wolves finished their 2023 season going 1-0 after defeating Northern MI, 44-20. 

QB Jacob Van Landingham threw 4 TD's, two of them to Dewaylon Ingram and Dakota Larson had 11 receptions for 157 yards and a TD. 

The Wolves got a career day from Jake Adams; 15 tackles + an INT & FR. Northern ends the season 5-6.

With the game tied @ 75, Josh Dilling put the Wolves ahead with a jumper and a 77-75 lead. That would be the final score from Winona, MN as the Wolves improve their NSIC record to 4-4.

On Saturday night from Dacotah Bank Stadium, the Northern State Wolves Football squad picked up their first win of the 2024 season over Winona State 30-24. 

Enjoying a 17-7 halftime lead, Winona State rallied to take a 21-17 lead to the fourth quarter. The Wolves would rally with two fourth quarter scores and put the clamps down on D, for the win.

RADIO HIGHLIGHTS - Northern State 30 Winona State 24

On Gypsy Days for the Wolves, NSU picked up a 14-13 win against the (RV) Beavers of Bemidji State. 

Leading 7-0 at halftime after a Colton Hackel TD run, the Beavers battled back to tie things at seven, midway through the third. Both defenses dug in, until RB Wyatt Block broke the stalemate on a TD run & Trevor Johnson picked up a highlight reel INT for the ages late in the game. 

NSU put the clamps down on a 2-point conversion where Bemidji went for the win with six seconds left & then the Wolves recovered the onside kick, to ice it. 

It was the first win for NSU over Bemidji State since 2014 & the first in the last eight meetings.

RADIO HIGHLIGHTS - NSU 14 Bemidji State 13

On a cloudy & rainy overcast day in Duluth, the Northern State Wolves defeated the Bulldogs of MN-Duluth 24-21 with a game winning FG by Jeremy Caruso at the wire. 

It was the first win for the Wolves against the Bulldogs since 2015 & the first win for NSU in Duluth since 1999.

On Saturday in the Twin Cities, the Northern State University Wolves trailed 24-7 but rallied back to earn their 5th consecutive victory. In the win, QB Daniel Britt completed 15-28 for 131 yards & a TD + had 7 carries for 75 yards & a score. NSU also had Wyatt Block & Hank Kraft rush for over 100 yards. Jake Adams picked up 16 tackles to become the NSU single season tackle record holder at 116.

RADIO HIGHLIGHTS - NSU 35 CSP 34

In the season finale for the Wolves, NSU earned a 28-21 win against Wayne State College on the road. After starting the season 0-4, the Wolves finished winners of six of their last seven and wrapped up '24 at 6-5 overall and 6-4 in the NSIC.

RADIO HIGHLIGHTS - NSU 28 Wayne State 21

On Saturday in Sioux Falls; Northern State PG Rianna Fillipi picked up her 500th career assist on a pass to Michaela Jewett (who connected on a three pointer). Rio becomes the first player in program history to hit the 500 assist mark (and counting).

On Senior Day, the Presentation College Saints defeated the Mayville St. University Comets 49-22. 

QB Austin Eggl threw a career high 6 TD passes and also RB Nathan Jones ran for 151yds on 29 carries. 

Sackmaster Jeff Branch earned a sack and half, which totals 15 for the season, a new NSAA record. Eric Bell had a highlight-reel INT with one had, to cap the Saints defense with 36 turnovers forced in a record setting season for PC. 

After the game, David Tukesbrey caught up w/ head coach Andy Carr to put a cap on the 7th victory of the season, a program record.

On Saturday, November 11/2/19, the Presentation College Saints defeated the Mayville St. University Comets 51-35 for their first victory in the 2019. 

QB Hunter Giffrow notched a career high 329 yards passing completing 25-34 passes and 3TD's. Trey Pajimula had 18 carries for 72 yards & 2TD's. Theryne Jimenez with 7 receptions for 114 yards and a score. Marshal Chace with 7 receptions for 79 yards and 2 TD's. 

It was the first win in the Steve Heimann era.
