Born in Barcelona, Spain in 1998, Abstracttet started to produce commercial music, house and techno at the age of 15 under the nickname Giu Vela. While going deeper in the underground, he kept on exploring new rhythms and sounds, to reach a hybrid kind of music. On «Uróboros», his very first Chiguiro single, he blends tribal rhythms with 808 basses and sharp electronic sounds.

New Late Horizon, this one an adoration to the Sun.

Ok great, so apparently the echo effect was slightly turned on on one of the channels for the entire set, I only found out afterwards. Big shoot to anon1280 and anon4082 in the chat for pointing that out, wished I checked the chat earlier. Ironically it is all I can hear now. It depends on the track on how prevalent and annoying it actually is, it varies. So yeah sorry to the artists if your tune happened to get the channel one unwanted echo treatment. My ongoing feud with proper mixer effects continues…

But yeah I want to dedicate this one to the Sun. It’s an appreciation as well as a sacrifice, asking for him to come out more often this summer. I guess it kind of worked as well! So do a little sun dance with me by clicking on the link in my bio.

I decided to go to Dekmantel last-minute, although I could only go the Saturday this time. It’s the first and last time I’m going for only one day. It’s over in a blink of an eye and I realise how much I’m actually missing. It was the wettest one for sure. Had a lot of fun though, really inspirational. Especially both the label workshop and the Greenhouse demolition of TraTraTrax. Es imposible expresar con palabras lo mucho que me han inspirado. Mil gracias.

I tried to keep it fresh with tracks I mostly found only days before show. Most of the tunes I only played out once or twice before. This one is high energy for the dancefloor. X
