It had been a while since we'd thrown a 2020Vision Day / Night party in London. So the pressure was on.  Would people still remember us ?  Would the notorius English weather be kind to us ?  Could we still pull it off ?  

The answer to all these questions thankfully was yes.  

It had been raining hard for a week before the party but the skies cleared and the sun came out on Sunday morning of May 25th.  A beautiful crowd of people turned up at iCan studios in Hackney Wick, East London for the day session as Kag Katumba, The Reflex and Psychemagik took control of  the decks.

This mix was recorded live from my closing set at sunset. I've always loved that transition between day and night.  As the light fades your ears take over from your eyes and people tune in more closely to the music.  

The party continued until the sun came up again with Citizen,  PBR Streetgang and Greg Wilson in the main room with the Loco Vision cubes.  

Thanks to everyone who came to share the experience and LWE for their superb production.  

Next stop is Sonar Lab as the sun comes up over Sonar Festival on June 14/15th.

Dedicated to my friend and inspiration, Pete DIY DJ Woosh of Digs & Whoosh who sadly left us to play the greatest free party in the sky yesterday. Very early live recording of the legendary DIY Collective who had their first own tent at Glastonbury Festival 1990. It was amazing to be there. 'Put your hands in the air'...well mine had a microphone in it most of that weekend capturing the likes of African Headcharge live with Lee 'Scratch' Perry and Hawkwind who played the Travellers field at 4am! All recorded on drugs using Sony Walkman Pro on metal tape with a stereo Sony microphone.

era una domenica mattina di giugno 1991, la riviera era orfana di un After Hours. il Vae Victis aveva chiuso perchè in via del Carro, 40  stava nascendo l'Echoes e il Club dei Nove Nove avrebbe aperto in After Hours solo il 7 Luglio 1991, quindi al Mitos di Misano ci si è dati da fare per chiudere il buco, una registrazione un pò ruvida ma rende bene l'idea di cosa stava nascendo, musica ad alto livello grazie a MBG (Giorgio Canepa) e Frankie Foncett.
