Here's the latest from The Smoking Trout!  This is "Major Parlay"   Terry did most of the work on this one music and production wise.  Jeff continued the storyline and wrote and sang this chapter.  I put in a couple guitar tracks and this one was a wrap! Hope you enjoy

ln between the Cushions of the couch-
Sid and MaryAnn are at the local blood bank
peddling pints of plasma
for fifty bucks a pop-

Maurice and Nostradamus are at the western Union
picking up three hundred dollars
from their grandma ln Tacoma
Gus ls working on the Bus
ln the episcopalian Parklng lot
and even got two hundred dollars from the congregation-

Stu he's got a Visa card which he never uses
Ubered over to the lucky Ladles where he's playing black jack
hoping for a Major Parlay--Hoping for a major Parlay-----

Larry and Roberta, while beggin for some buckshees
and playin music on the corner at the farmers market
met a Sufi sitting on the sidewalk
serenely spouting scripture from the Transcendental Dharma of the Dumpling--

Along with baking soda, salt, wheat and water
A heavy leavening of responsibly ls required ln the making--
And some mushrooms from Oaxaca-lf you wanna make that dumpling, she sald
you're gonna have to go

The title is from Walt Whitman's poem of the same name which he wrote after the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln. It is for a large string orchestra.
