Motivé par la démarche artistique de Chris Watson, d’imaginer comment peut sonner une œuvre visuelle, Watson precise que ces peintures ne parviennent pas d’un monde silencieux et nous invite à les imaginer. Donc je propose d’entendre et voir l’œuvre de Johanne Bilodeau : Habiter le paysage. 
Inspiré par le paysage qui me semblait très familier au paysage du bord de l’eau de Verdun, et par sa proximité qui me permet de le capter et l’entendre à longueur d’année. Ces lieux manifestent une diversité sonore, une acoustique habitée par de nombreuses espèces d’oiseaux migratoires et un habitat faunique riche, bercé constamment par le fleuve Saint-Laurent. Par les sonorités harmoniques et le traitement audio, je me suis éloigné un peu du paysage pour me rapprocher aux couleurs, aux textures et à l’esprit humain qu’habite ce paysage et ce dialogue entre l’espace transformé et l’espace acoustique tente d’imaginer en son le paysage de l’œuvre de Bilodeau.

Lorenzo Magtogoek is an ambient soundscape inspired by the Saint-Lawrence river
The title replaces "Saint" with Magtogoek - an Innu name meaning "the path that walks." This renaming is a conscious step away from Western and Christian frameworks, inviting a deeper connection to the river as a living, spiritual force rather than a symbol of colonial legacy.
The composition blends field recordings of the flowing waters of the St. Lawrence River and a natural spring in Versalles, Antioquia, with synthesized textures and organic sound manipulations. It creates a reflective and meditative atmosphere, inspired by concepts from pagan and Indigenous spiritualities that honor the earth as sacred and interconnected. Through its layered sounds, Lorenzo Magtogoek seeks to guide listeners into a space where the rhythms of water encourage reflection and a rediscovery of our connection with nature.
This piece is both a tribute and an invitation: a tribute to the river and the water springs as life-giving forces, and an invitation to reconnect with the elemental truths. The waters as symbols of flow and continuity.

Lorenzo Magtogoek es un paisaje sonoro ambiental inspirado en el río San Lorenzo.
El título reemplaza "San" por Magtogoek, un nombre en lengua Innu que significa "el camino que camina". Este cambio representa un alejamiento consciente de los marcos occidentales y cristianos, invitando a una conexión más profunda con el río como una fuerza espiritual y viviente, en lugar de un símbolo del legado colonial.
La composición combina grabaciones de campo de las aguas fluyentes del río San Lorenzo y de un manantial natural en Versalles, Antioquia, junto con texturas sintetizadas y manipulaciones sonoras orgánicas. Crea una atmósfera reflexiva y meditativa, inspirada en conceptos de espiritualidades paganas e indígenas que veneran la tierra como algo sagrado e interconectado. A través de sus capas sonoras, Lorenzo Magtogoek busca guiar a los oyentes hacia un espacio donde los ritmos del agua fomenten la reflexión y redescubran nuestra conexión con la naturaleza.
Esta obra es tanto un tributo como una invitación: un tributo al río y los manantiales como fuerzas vitales, y una invitación a reconectar con las verdades elementales. Las aguas como símbolos de flujo y continuidad.
