Sónar is proud to offer a premiere of the third single to be released from Perel's second album "Jesus Was An Alien" - due out on Kompakt on 13/05/2022.

'Am Kanal' is the closing track from the album, a slow-motion slice of italo-tinged electronic pop. Perel narrates a walk around an unnamed city in German, as the track builds from a gloomy, pulsing beat to a soaring crescendo of synths, the rain ceasing as daylight breaks through the clouds.

Perel appears at Sónar 2022 on Friday 17th June, going back-to-back to close Sónar by Night with Correspondant label head and partner-in-crime Jennifer Cardini.

The Colombian-born DJ and co-founder of Barcelona LGBTQ+ party, platform and collective MARICAS goes from ambient to techno across an hour and seven minutes, exploring the deepest parts of her record collection.
