Luca Redivo, in art R/D/V, is an Amsterdam-based audio engineer and Techno DJ/Producer who discovered his passion for music at an early age. 
Starting from his position of vinyl lover and careful researcher of sophisticated music, he soon came into contact with the European club culture. 
His DJ sets and productions are focused on a refined sound that varies between the most obscure Berlin Techno shades; they are characterised by organic drums and analogue synths.

R/D/V has recently released on Devotion, Secret Keywords, Default Series, West Rules, Immaterial Archives and Eclectic Limited. He has lately performed for Techno Cartel, Polish Techno.logy, Tech Clubbers, Oscur Minneapolis, Atomar Audio and Cosmonauts Athens. 
Whilst collaborating and contributing to conceptual initiatives such as ArknA, Luca currently engineers at his studio and venue 8sixA.

Mantis Radio 350 - Katran

At the start of April, I had the pleasure of playing the closing set from 4am, at an excellent, intimate, underground, warehouse party 'Undulate 01' from the Undulate crew here in Sydney. A slamming sound system, minimal lighting, smoke machine, and around 250 people in attendance, enthusiastically ripping it up on the sweaty dance floor.

Sydney DJ talents: Katia, Loveless, Andrew Wowk, TGMN and Nick Nick also played on the night. Musically covering: bass, electro, breaks, broken-beats, rave, EBM, industrial, acid, and many flavours of techno.

This is a post-party recording of the set/mix I played on the night. Same tracks, same order, better pacing.

Like the musical vibe of the party, this set/mix has a variety of sounds/styles. Starting with electro, into harder techno, with rave, melodic, broken-beats, and acid moments. I figured the crowd had had a good dose of harder sounds earlier in the night, so went deeper, hypnotic, melodic, towards the end, as the party travelled towards 6am. 

You'll hear some tracks I've used before in other sets/mixes, probably a bit lazy, but I'm still loving these magic combinations.

This was also the night AU changed out of daylight savings time, and even though my phone said 5am at the end, it still felt like 6am. We're not so used to clubbing at these hours in Sydney any more, since the Lockout Laws began 3 & 1/2 years ago for the majority of our nightclubs. On a positive note it's brought about the rise of excellent, underground, warehouse parties like this one.

We are very happy to start a new podcast series, focusing on Ambient music. For the first episode, we honored to welcome the Berlin-based DJ X tin. 

Enjoy this beautiful 1 hour trip, between dark and atmospheric vibes through drone and field recording sounds.

Austrian-born, she started off producing electronic music and being active part of Salzburgs underground techno szene, with two releases out on local labels. Berlin shaped her exploring worlds between dark dystopian techno, hypnotic and experimental ambient, which she blends in carefully curated mixes since 2015.

X tin, in her hometown by choice, played at many major venues and events, amongst others - THE BRVTALIST in Ohm and FLEISCH, further in Munich, Rote Sonne for Mess. Internationally, her music could be heard in Paris Champ Libre, fashion weeks Cicciolina Party, Organik festival afterparty in Korner-Taipei, PAG in Tel Aviv, EXILE and APHOTIC in New York and Volnost in Seoul. She holds residencies in Disciplina - Vladivostok/RU, Trashera - Berlin and Heizkeller - Salzburg.

In her own productions, field recording plays an essential role. Shapeshifting sound experiments, drifting from meditative dream like ethereal scenes to intense bone deep noise nightmares, presented in the form of live pieces for various performances by Butoh dancer VALENTIN TSZIN in Russia and various locations all over europe.

She uses sound to connect to the crowd through deep emotions and fills up the room with atmospheric intense trips in waveform. Distorting genres, blurring lines between styles and layering sceneries, while never lacking a specific taste and powerful character. An eclectic choice of rhythms are sending travellers through deep ambient, mesmerizing electronic up to dark hypnotic- and energetic industrial techno.

Her signature is described by a room full of intense feelings, sweat and a never lost lust for moving bodies.

David McCann - 51 years young, a veteran of Adelaide and Sydney (Australia) live band, rave, club, electronic music and party scenes. 

Relocated from Adelaide to Sydney in 1995 with Adelaide/Sydney 90s rap, rock, techno, 6 piece live band - Bliss.

100s of live performances across Australia as keyboard player/songwriter, in dance/rock live bands, late 1980s - late 1990s, as hardware based producer, live performer 'DAMC' (rave, hardcore, techno, jungle, drum'n'bass) 1992 - 1998, and as 'TECHiONE' (funky, melodic, hard, tribal, techno) 1998 - 2005.

One-off retro rave live performances as DAMC in 2013, 2014 and 2016 in Adelaide, at Flash Back II, Ultraworld NYE 2014, and Party With A Purpose II events.

2016 got inspired by new sounds in techno music, new friends, Sydney techno DJ Loveless, and starting doing the digital DJ thing, putting mixes together. Invites to DJ out began.

Passionate about a variety of underground techno music sounds: Deep, dark, atmospheric, brutal, heavy, twisted, minimal, broken, hard, light, beautiful, melodic, hypnotic - all depending on mood.

Loving the industrial, EBM, broken beats, heavy and dark atmospheres in modern techno music right now, still a fan of the rave.

Sydney's restrictive lock out laws for the last 5 years, have crippled our clubbing scene, with many punters, DJs and promoters moving interstate, overseas, or stepping back. A spiral of less people going out, less venues, less club nights, less parties, and less places to play. 

Thankful for those still holding strong, and the underground warehouse scene in Sydney.
