I came up with the idea because I wanted to motivate people to stop worrying about negativity, whether from people or from situations they're going through.

The song had to be a mixture of Afrobeat and house because at that time I was listening to a lot of music by Fela Kuti and I just wanted to fuse the two. Nonny D is a phenomenally talented artist from Nigeria, his voice is extremely commanding and has a great tone, he was the perfect fit for the song

The Los Angeles DJ/Producer/Remixer David Montoya has gained notoriety as one of LA’s top AfroHouse Producers. Featured in many record labels such as FOMP, Leisure Music Productions, Pieces Of Life, Tribe Records, MoBlack Records, Cabeau Music, Open Bar Music, United Music, Vida Records, Deep Culture Music, Uncover Music, NULU Music, D.M. Recordings, Sole Channel Music, Tru Thoughts, and many more. In 2017, two of his productions made the TOP 200 AFROHOUSE list on Traxsource.com. 

But who is he? Raised in Los Angeles. The beginning of his musical journey started in 80’s and 90’s, he developed a taste for a wide array of musical styles such as Hip Hop, Freestyle Pop, Funk, Nu Wave and Latin Music. In 1991 he bought his first DJ set up and began mixing House and Techno Music. As time went on, David honed his skills in the production studio as well as on the DJ decks and has steadily built a name for himself worldwide. He has played in many places like Berlin, Croatia, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, New York, Boston, Las Vegas, Toronto, Chicago, Oakland, San Diego, and Playa Del Carmen. He’s been fortunate to share the decks with the likes of Hyenah, Manoo, Shimza, Djeff, Jose Marquez, Aluku Rebels, Demented Soul, Helen Ting, Yogi Patel, Gigi Testa, Adam Gibbons, Marquez, and many more.
