- Recorded live August 9 2015 - As Saturday night in the Fractal Forest raged on the other side of the world... Newcastle's finest party people had a face full of the FULL FUNK EXPERIENCE, ripping up the floor and putting down everything good and bad and BASS. It was an epic party and I had an epic fever for a few days that was breaking as i played this set but i gave it everything i had. Feeling better now thanks.

Just got back home to the island from the Best weekend of my life. Getting to play shambhala music festival this year was hands down the most phenomenal experience i have ever had. I thank you SO much for allowing me to get to do what i love and sending such amazing energy back to me. This all was once just a vision, a goal, a dream. To be able to actually have it just happen and to live it , feel it and be wide awake in real life with other souls sending out unexplainable beautiful energy back into the universe… it was better than any dream i have ever dreamt. It was Magical. To be able to play any song that I wanted and to have you guys feel every minute of it with me while the sun was rising, Man, Honestly No words can describe my gratitude. Living for Art is not an easy road but its a road i crave and that i lpassionatley love. I am addicted to connecting with people through music. Saturday Night for me was the definition of peace and happiness in my heart and in my soul. This was a dream come true and when I say that I mean it literally blew any vision I had in my mind right out of the park…. it was the most fun iv ever had in my life. To have all of these people connected as one vibing as one loving as one…. one with the music. I just can't stop smiling and just internal gratefulness to be alive rn. To all of the beautiful people from the island who have been there since day 1 and made it out i fucking love you and wouldn't have been there with out your love and support… To my Best friends who came out and enjoyed every moment with me… I thank you guys for being my main rocks. XOXOX I love you guys so fucking dearly, having you guys there with me made it even more emotional for me and lastly to all the new people i had a privilege of meeting and connecting with from all around North America I feel VERY lucky to have gotten to meet you and am excited to connect w/ you again. I just have to say I am so excited to work on some new music and take on some new ventures i feel sick inside!!!! … To anyone who couldn't make it out Id love to share a bit of this set with you. In the next few days ill be uploading a 30minute recap mix of my set. The whole weekend just blew my mind to be honest with you... seeing some of my good friends also take the beautiful stages and seeing their faces light up and the energy they put out was incredible. I feel so inspired and lucky to have gotten to experience this in my life. Shambhala 2015 you have a big place in my heart. Thank you to everyone who's been sending me beautiful messages / pictures & video. I will cherish these memories forever. I can only hope to be able to do it all again next year.

Shambhala 2015

Subvert Live @ Shambhala 2015 - Village Stage.  This set is a celebration of the last 10 years my wife & I have been the directors of the Village stage.  It contains some of my favorite music from the past, unfortunately its impossible to make it all fit into a 60 min set.

It was Friday night and the vibe was right. The festival this year had this comfortable energy right from the get go. I got to the Bio Dome early to check out Deep Sounds by Haana - this angelic nymph that had had everyone in the palm of her hands. Her sounds were robust and organic, the types of sounds that you feel in your soul.. Powerful downtempo bass music coupled with a violin. It was a perfect stage to step into. It was a gathering! 

Even though it was 10:30 pm, the calmness (and equipment change over) let me start the set out slow, play some of my productions that are less dancefloor friendly, and then bring the energy up. I love it when a space is unity, and I especially love conducting that unified space through sound.

I was unable to obtain a live recording of my set this year so i recorded it in my studio exactly as i played it live, EXCEPT, i played a couple of the trax in there entirety rather than mixing out after 2 or 3 minutes. 
I wish to give much love and gratitude to the lovely lady's who collaborated with me on the performance, weaving beauty and magic in their dance under the cedar canopy.

Organic Mechanic Grove Set, Shambhala, 2015

Here's my Shambhala 2015 (Bio dome) set, I played Friday night at 3-430AM. I recorded it the way I played it, 1 take, and no editing.  It's different flavours of 4x4, Nu-disco/ Deep house/ Tech house/ Dirty bird/ with a nice pleasant finish. Thank you so much to all my friends and fellow dancers who came to check me out at that awesome small stage (The Bio dome) tucked away in behind The Grove. The energy in there while I was playing was so amazing! : ) So much love, smiles and laughter.  If you like it please spread it around for more ears to hear.
