Even though the early afternoon sunlight feels welcoming as it shines upon your face, something feels off.  Your mind fills with dread, as you're overtaken by an overwhelming sense of impending doom.
This is The Calm.

This was an experiment to see what would happen if different techniques were used to make regular pop songs "progressive" by making them odd meter. I got the idea to use this song when I awoke from a dream with a 15/8 rhythm in my head. When I put it on paper, I realized that the chord progression I was using was exactly the same as Adele's Set Fire to the Rain. So I played around with a couple ideas of how to weave it together to pull this off. I originally got the idea to do something like this with Cold Play's Viva la Vida.
