Bulelani ‘Boro” Mbunjana. Self-taught DJ, born and raised in the vibrant township of Mdanstane in East London. Started his DJ career in 2010 and ventured into the media career space in 2011 – 2012, as a resident DJ at local community radio station, Mdanstane FM.

Specializing in Deep, Soulful, and Deep Techno House, he has played at local EL & JHB events alongside many DJs at some of the most established and popular venues, such as Azurro, OhMi Gin Bar & OhMi Restro Bar.

He recently prides himself in being a 4-week, straight winning contender on The House Connect DJ Challenge, hosted by DJ Lloyd every Saturday from 5pm – 7pm on 5FM radio. Featured as a Guest DJ on DHSA – 051, DHC – 163, DHAKL – 019, Slow Sessions – 123, The Moodyniights – 033. 

Now ready to spread his wings to greater heights, but the question stands: “Is the world ready for Boro?!”

Inspired in part-taking in national events, such as “We House Sundays” for example, but also venture into music production and release EP’s.

His DJ drive and wish are being able to give back to upcoming DJ’s and/or the youth that have dreams of being part of the DJ industry; by providing them with a platform to showcase their talent and skills, because: “Where the words fail, music speaks”.

Dutch selector Tom Trago dials in a vinyl-only offering that provides a slice of warm, vibrant and sunkissed escapism just in time for his appearance at Puglia's Polifonic Festival. 

Speaking on the entry, which features tracks from house heroes Ron Trent and Soichi Terada, among others, Trago described it as an encapsulation of the "late-night emotions of the Bari area [in Puglia, Italy]".

Released on August 10th via Viper Recordings comes the second single from The Prototypes hotly anticipated debut LP, ‘City of Gold'.

Fully embracing a summer sound with the A-side ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, the production and DJ duo smoothly combine old school style piano chords, signature energized drums and the pulse-racing vocals of Amy Pearson. Already receiving nationwide radio support, the single package also includes a sultry house remix from the talented Jade Blue and an electro-fuelled "Big Top" dancefloor rework by The Prototypes themselves.

The B-side stays true to The Prototypes heavy hitting, galactic-inspired sound, with the whirring ‘Humanoid’. Exciting and rhythmical use of synth patterns alongside vocal interjections make this the ideal follow up to the hugely popular 'Pale Blue Dot'.

The Prototypes have worked their magic again with this release, combining the euphoric house elements of 'Don’t Let Me Go' with their trademark pumping bass lines and weighty drops in 'Humanoid'. It’s another great prelude to the arrival of their album and will feature heavily on dancefloors across the globe this summer.

Two additional remixes of the main track “Bosphor” are released. Sin Tek gave this song his very own personal flavour. Moreover, A.N.I.C.E. and Max Farlane collaborated and reinterpreted the song in a totally new way. It sounds frisky, somehow screwy, excited but still smooth.
