'Joeski has been a force to reckon with since his humble beginnings in New York’s house scene in the early 90s where he was DJing regularly at the likes of Limelight, Tunnel, Palladium and NASA. Returning to Kittball Records to follow up his 2015 ‘Back Door’ EP, Joeski has been busy touring some of the world’s most renowned festivals and venues from New York’s Cielo to New Zealand’s Ink Bar when not releasing on Crosstown Rebels, Poker Flat, Relief and Kinetika.

The smooth dubbed out chords and crisp percussive swing in ‘Kalimba’ open the release, before Joeski’s emotive pads and tranquil xylophone melody take hold. Next up, the pulsating yet soothing ‘The Forest’ is built with glistening hats and pixelated synths, whilst being driven forward with booming kicks and the hypnotic original vocals of Yanay. Rounding out the package is the jacking groove in ‘Extasy’, formed of layered snare hits and a visceral bass line that create the frame for the tracks dissipating chords and spatial effects to freely roam within.

We at MOTHER are super excited to welcome back DILBY, our homie from New Zealand who is now based in Berlin, for a banging new EP.

THE PATH is a chunky, driving slab of house that has been tearing up dance floors since it hit our inbox. The beat is constructed of big analog drums fused with ethnic percussion and tribal vocal chops then underpinned by a heavy sub bass. But, the real star of the show here is that flute hook, so catch every time!

Rounding out the EP is KICKIN IT, a funky grooving house weapon that is sure to bring smiles to the face of everyone on the floor! Dilby takes a modern house aesthetic and fuses it with a catchy throwback piano riff and ultra memorable vocal hook to deliver true hands in the air bomb.

Last November, we brought back the Four Points concept, which dates all the way back to 2008. The updated package contained a remix from Loco & Jam and original tracks from Belocca, Kellie Allen, and Sleepy & Boo. Now, we’re following that package up with Four Points II, with four fresh new tracks from some top producers from entirely new parts of the world.

Kicking things off is DJ T. with his remix of Sharam & Chance Caspian’s “Morning Glory,” originally from the 2016 album Retroactive. DJ T.’s mix is just what you’d expect from the legendary Berlin DJ. It’s bouncy and groovy, a nice builder that falls squarely into house territory. Khainz brings the heat with “Acrux,” a typically epic techno squelcher from the Luzern-based artist, and he proves once again that his chops in the studio are second-to-none. Miami up-and-comers Wolf Story are up next with “Time,” which harkens back to the progressive house-meets-vocals sound that is so classic Yoshitoshi. It’s one that routinely puts dance floors in a trance. And finally, our main man in Athens CJ Jeff serves up another beautiful vocal track with “So Far From Home,” which has received the edit treatment from Sharam. This package is diverse and dynamic with no shortage of peak moments. In other words, it’s quintessential Yoshi.

Opening with the Vangelis inspired Present Voyage then weaving a path through gritty throbbing bass, exemplified by Arrival and on to minimized funk of Disco Diva and Need House, Sonic Intervention progresses naturally on through the swirling tension of Get Up and crescendos with the combination of floor-burner NZT and the old-school Electro stomping Electric Pandemic; featuring the vocals of Detroit Grand Pubas Paris Du Black Fu. When quizzed on his motivations behind his latest studio album, The Advent stated I wanted to do something quite personal for this first album and delve a little bit into the past to get inspiration from my influences to make an album that reflected all the musical genres I have been inspired by over the years electro, electronica, tech house - not just the techno tracks. Future music from a past master, made for the here and now.

Black Diamonds Records ventures to São Paulo to find the illustrious L_cio with his track, Monolance, featuring singer Ellie Ka. Monolance is the meeting of L_cio and Ellie Ka which resulted in a beautiful song to bring out feelings of brightness and love. It’s the perfect music to remind us of those bright, hopeful days and relax into the chill summer beach vibes.

<p>The label bosses The Advent and Industrialyzer team up with Hugo Paixao and they are releasing an excellent EP on Codeworks. Kicking off this EP is the title track ‘Mutant’ which creates a big chunky affair full of dark beats with smooth percussion on the foreground. A very nice and intense production with smooth string getting along. ‘Twisted’ follows, featuring stabbing and rolling deep basslines mixed up with nice and melodic riffs. Can be better than that? Three excellent producers getting along and they produce two techno anthems for Codeworks. Enjoy</p>
