» What a year it's been for Franky Rizardo. With a strong presence on Defected (including a highly coveted In TheHouse curation session) and massive EPs on the likes of Circus and Abode, hes now set to sign the year out in style on Rejected. One of the most successful and heavily ID'd tracks in label boss Joris Voorn's sets since the summer, 'Call Upon Me' is all about subtle senses and stages of elevation. Strutting with a classic house jack, theres an ageless Chi-town swing to the walking bassline as we roll deeper and deeper into the groove. Suddenly a springy key riff pops up on the vibe horizon and becomes the foremost focus of the track rising and rising and rising some more with a delicious build-up that keeps on giving for longer than usual deep house conventions would have you believe. Paying off with a simple but crucial staccato twist on the keys, and even more juice in the rolling bassline bedrock, it's one of those tracks that total disarms and dancefloor and blindsides them with a whole new sense of energy. Our next release comes fresh out of the studio from Ohmme, a two-headed sonic monster created by Olivier Giacomotto and David Lecocq, They have been releasing music under this alias on some of the best labels in the business for some time now so we are delighted to present their latest work on our Limited imprint. 

The first of three great original tracks is titled 'Fashion', an up-tempo and high energy roller with intense frequencies at every angle. A robust peak time jam, laden with catchy percussive elements that will definitely get you moving. Inclusive of beefed-up drums, rumbling tonal sub-bass and plenty of character. Prepare yourself for some killer buildup and thunderous drops that come at you head on, whether you're ready or not.

Seconds out, 'Peep' leans more towards the groovier end of the spectrum whilst maintaining many of the characteristics of its hyperactive predecessor. Another track with impressive low-frequency elements, heaps of rhythm, a warped vocal backdrop and captivating melodics throughout. A definite vibe builder at very least!

Closing out the release is 'Time'; another groovy affair. Again more of the same heavyset drums and a thunderous, minimal bassline. One trend throughout the release is Ohmme's collective ability to create widened spaces within their non-conventional buildups; they fall outside of the apparent or expected format of modern tech house, allowing for some unexpected yet cataclysmic throwdowns on the drop! Yet another track with some awe-inspiring melodic traits being front and centre.

Andrew Meller has been on an incredible run of form recently having smashed the Beatport charts with his remakes of classic tracks such as Faithless' 'Insomnia' and the all-time holy grail of Underworld 'Born Slippy'. His talents do not stop there though, he proves here that he is more than capable of penning some serious underground sounds as he delivers 'Godfathers Dance' and 'Honey'.

'Godfathers Dance' leads the charge here and has been a secret weapon in label boss Nic Fanciulli's sets for time now. This bubbles along really nicely with a warm and funky bass line, some lush, tribal percussion and some great horn additions that really add to that dance floor energy. 'Honey' on the flip is more menacing in it's delivery with a sinister synth pattern and a tough drum workout for those slightly tougher floors.
