The names of my collaborators, or rather, their online handles, are lost to history, but this is a funny little joint jam from 2008. Following the relative success of the collaborative exercise that led to 'Slacker Blues,' I decided to try to provide the basis for a group jam with various guitarists each taking a solo spot. It starts out with a tentative solo, then a supremely comfortable and excellent country-blues take, and (after an obligatory tub-bass solo) closes out with one that goes all balls-to-the-wall. Out of keeping with the rest of the piece perhaps but pretty hilariously cool in its own right.

I did the rhythm guitar, tub bass and percussion. Idea behind the percussion was to emulate the drumming of the great Fred Below, who had a rock solid groove (which I was unable to emulate) but shows another, minimalist but incredibly inventive, side on the records from 1965 where he backs the just-as-great JB Lenoir in a largely two-man setting.
