Representing a vastly darker side to the Art of Dark repertoire, party favourites David Gtronic and Lilith offer up this 6 track mini album which, following the more 'house' infused previous releases, gives the first glances into the musical output which can be found on the dancefloor during the later hours. Put together during months of collaboration between Miami and Amsterdam, this is a glistening example of why the 2 are currently amongst the hottest new acts to emerge in the past few years. Twisted, snarling delays cut through muscular electronic beats and subs, whilst overlaid and punctuated by achingly beautiful instrumental sections, many of which were recorded live by the pair using some of the finest session musicians in Europe. Mantra Collective Records launches with David Gtronic - Patrior EP demonstrating David's slightly darker side in two carefully considered arrangements. Patior contorts a bassline around a driving, textural foundation with a vocal guaranteed to bring moments of dance-floor clarity. Layers of rolling percussion, dubby abstractions, and a writhing low end compliment each other in the powerful Amvian.

Romania's VID takes elements from both A-side cuts with his Patiormvian Reconstruction mix, fusing incidental sounds with his renowned atmospheric approach. Balance is found and respect demonstrated in this moving interpretation.

Spend some time alone.

We've all been spending a lot of time alone these days haven't we?  Having to be apart from our friends and even families, for so long.  This alone time has been good for some, but each week it seems like the world takes a new and dark turn.   I wrote this edit right when this whole quarantine hit. I thought to myself, this will be the perfect tune for everyone needing a bit of uplifting energy... and to add a bit of joy to everyone's solitary confinement. Yet, each week I thought to release it,  there would be something in the world that would pop up, and each week it never felt like the right time....

One after another, from covid19 to police brutalities, peaceful protests ending in violence, burning cities,  tear gassing citizens, so much death and destruction live streamed for the world, and we are all glued to it. This snowball seems to keep on going....and this road ahead doesn't seem bright now.....But I have hope.

I spent a lot of time dancing to this edit alone in my basement. and it made me smile. I hope it brings a little smile to your face, and you find yourself dancing alone, maybe in your basement, your kitchen, on a jog, with your dog.  Let me know if you do! Thanks for listening, and thanks to the Heimlich hooligans for letting me release it with them. I hope we can all dance together very soon.

David Gtronic has spent years shaping his own path in the electronic music scene, constantly evolving while staying true to the essence of his sound. After relocating to Berlin in 2013, his career took off globally, landing him sets at Sunwaves, Episode Festival, The BPM Festival, and a residency at the legendary Club der Visionaere. His touring schedule has taken him across Australia, Japan, and South America, building a reputation for meticulously crafted sets that take listeners on a journey.
In 2019, David launched Personality Disorder Music, a label that serves as a platform for artistic expression beyond the conventional. Featuring artists like Seth Troxler, Reboot, Guti, Tom Trago, Alexis Cabrera, Sweely, San Proper, Chad Andrew, and Guy From Downstairs, the label has become a home for boundary-pushing sounds that challenge expectations.
