In His Steps Credits

A quick sample of the first day's work on the revival of a year-old musical project: a re-telling of the American Revolution and the Struggle for American Independence through the orchestra, choir, and percussion ensemble.

Please enjoy--and if you like it, spread it around!  I also experimented with the different Mic Positions in EWQLSO Platinum Plus, and used the ReaSurround plug-in on my DAW in an attempt to create a better audio-spacial experience.

The beginning of this track focuses on the shop of humble Silversmith Paul Revere during 'the wee hours of the morning' as he waited for news of a suspected move on the part of British troops toward the confiscation of firearms and munitions collected by the farmers of Lexington and Concord.

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel (Exaltation Preview)

Playing with my Bagpipes samples from East West.  I used the Highland Pipes and Uillean Pipes samples from East West RA, attempting to mimic the opening of Howard Shore's track 'Erebor', from the soundtrack of 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey'.  Critique and feedback are always welcome!  :-D

A new demo showing the musical potential in the upcoming Web Series 'Gatewalkers'!  Arguably one of the funnest percussion sections I've ever written--a combination of Mahler Hammer, Concert Bass Drum, Malaysian Djembe, Durabaka w/ Metals, Timpani, Cymbals, Lion Drums, and Nagado Fortissimo.  And I got to play a whole bunch more with the new RA samples--Pan pipes, Didgeridoo, and the Shakuhachi.  Loads of epic fun--enjoy--and anticipate the impressive footage that went along with this (this isn't even the entire track)!

Not A Dream Demo

I and some colleagues have been fiercely debating what the mysterious instrument in the 'Trolls' track of 'Frozen' is.  In my first attempt to re-create the sound, I took the 6 French Horns Muted SUS samples from East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Plus, applied the Portamento Script, and this is the result.  Votes, anyone?

Gatewalkers Episode 7 Excerpt

David W. Hamilton is a passionate musician.  He came to the belief that God did indeed have a special purpose for his life when he suffered a near fatal attack of myocarditis and heart attacks at the age of 16--and survived.  He plans to enter training for the music ministry in the fall of 2013.  In the meantime, he works as a composer for Christian films, and works on writing the stories/script for a Sci-Fi series of his own--something else that he feels the Lord has laid heavily on his heart.

David has been given an extreme level of gifting in music--being given an ability to learn any instrument he is given, simply by listening to performance samples, and being shown the most basic means of playing.  Since being taught to play piano, he can sing, as well as play the guitar, keyboard, and most recently drums.  He has also taught himself to compose for orchestra, band, and choir.

His completed film credits include the short film 'Holiday Hostage' (Flourish Films), the Web Series 'In His Steps: The Series' (Standing Sun Productions), and the feature film 'Indescribable' (Thorn Crown Project).

Works in Progress include the Feature-length thriller 'Othersight' (Brightsword Productions).
