Sunshine on your mind - David Huels - March 2020

David Huels is a DJ in the wide field of electronic dance music. David cannot be pinned down to a strict genre, but his style reflects very groove-oriented beats referred to as Techno, Tech House and sometimes Ambient. If referring to a certain style, his music is mostly influenced by Berlin and Italian Techno legends.

David was born in Moenchengladbach, a vibrant town in Western Germany, very close to the Dutch border, Dusseldorf and Cologne. He started DJing being 12, mostly playing on private parties while distributing mixtapes among friends. Reaching the age of 17, he started hosting small events while having frequent appearances in local nightclubs. Never stopping to play the decks, David moved on to pursue his business career. Studying and living mainly between Germany, Netherlands, Hungary and Switzerland, he works for consultancies, corporate law firms and several start ups. His strong entrepreneurial drive takes him to many places, especially within Europe.

While still doing very successful business, David decides to resurrect his music career by starting his own online radio show "Sunrise 5AM" with a very close friend in 2010, playing back to back with DJ Christian Hensen every second week. Without any promotion but iTunes, the show quickly accelerates and drives many hundreds of devoted listeners to enjoy every single show. Whilst being offered several event concepts in Switzerland and German to go live with "Sunrise 5AM", the show still remains strictly online. David reasons that it's "just not the right momentum for the concept right now".

Finally, in 2012, David takes his DJ career to heart again. While producing tracks in his very own style, he's planning several very selected DJ appearances throughout Europe, under the umbrella of an up and coming artist management group.
