The original song came out in 2003, lyrics written by Jhonny Joseph and recorded at Richard Hein's Studio Kapricorn.

The Fixation - Addiction (David Jay Remix)

Roseda is a meeting of two musical worlds: the roots of Mauritian Sega and the pulse of Afro House. The original lyrics were written by Alphonse Ravaton, known as Tifrere, the father of Sega and a true legend. For me, having the chance to reimagine one of his songs is nothing short of an honor.

During the break, you can hear the Ravanne,  it carries the spirit of our traditional music. I wanted it to feel like a celebration, like friends and family gathered outside in a garden, playing the Ravanne, dancing, and sharing joy.

The voice that brings it all to life is Jason Lily’s, an artist I deeply respect and the only one I could imagine singing this.
