When Corona's Flames  Bursted Out

I cannot hear you laugh
You do not see me smile
Or shine through my eyes

We've been on the same path 
Yet two meters apart 
Feelings covered beneath masks' disguise

Sorry, boss. I won't lie
Yes, it's been a while
Since I cut a new deal
Don't beat me for my shrinking KPI.
I think it's because I give the impression I'm going to steal. 
Yet, inside I feel more
like I'm going to squeal. 

Beneath the cloth of isolation
- no joy anymore
Only unborn words
that cut my soul into gore.

For what's left in life 
When Corona's flames scorched
the last of human contact?
Courseless distractions and consumption
Until completely whacked.
