It is an absolute honor for us to welcome Dvniel to the Tiny Boat Sessions. Even before we had the pleasure of meeting him a few years ago in Mexico, we were already sincere admirers of his music. His productions, characterized by their slow and groovy rhythms, stand in stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of big city dance floor vibes. Instead, they invite us into a peaceful realm where each beat is cherished, and every note is indulged.

What truly sets Dvniel apart, however, is not just his music but also the essence of his being. He is more than a musician; he is a beacon of warmth and generosity. His soulful presence infuses every interaction with kindness and authenticity, leaving a lasting impression on all who have the privilege of crossing paths with him. The Art Of Downtempo | 011 | Flow

That day, Hekske (the little witch) got a rude awakening well before dawn when a snow flake landed straight on her face, while the wind was howling through the dark forest.  Falke (the 10 year-old witch apprentice) had once again snuggled under the moss blanket of the witch to keep warm and dry.  The winter had been mild up to then, but on that day the harsh winter weather had finally arrived. The outdoors life of a witch is full of beautiful and rewarding moments, but on mornings like these, even the toughest witch can sometimes be yearning for a warmer and drier place.
A little later, both girls were sipping from a warm cup of herbal tea and their morning mood brightened up considerably when they realized it was the new moon day, which meant it was the day of their monthly trip outside the witch’s forest.  They waited for the rain and wind to abate a bit, after which they took off and headed towards the east.  They had no idea where they were going to and were just following their inner compass.  It was a pretty easy flight with the girls benefiting from the strong tail wind and one hour later they reached Limburg, the easternmost province of Flanders with its breathtaking landscapes of orchards and lush forests. Today the place was even more beautiful than ever with its cover of immaculately white snow. After a while, the witches saw a girl waving at them from a heath field below them. As the girl was wearing a long white dress and walking barefoot, she was obviously a witch. Hekske and Falke touched down gently, where they got a warm welcome by the girl and her guard wolf. The girl was very young, but her long red hair and mesmerizing green eyes showed that she already was a powerful witch. After a long and tearful welcome hug with the witch, Hekske and Falke cuddled and hugged the wolf. The warm and fluffy feeling of a wolf is one of the most wonderful feelings a witch can get. 
This was a very special day for the girl as it was the very first time that she met other witches. They decided to go for a walk in the snow-covered heath field, which was dotted by several small meres (shallow ponds). The wolf was in a frisky mood and was playing in the snow all the time. The young witch explained that the wolf had left his pack to take care of her when she was still a child. Wolves are known to be the most faithful and trustworthy companions for witches. The bond between the wolf and witch was obviously very deep and soul-touching. 
Normally witches do a lot of mystic ceremonies, but on that day they decided just to have some fun and walk around this spellbinding winterscape. And at the end of the day, they gave a last hug to each other (including a fluffy hug to the wolf) and promised to visit them again next spring, when the heath will be in full bloom …

Dvniel is a downtempo DJ and producer originally from Mexico, known for his ability to mix smooth and deep beats that transport the audience into a state of vibrant trance. His unique style is characterized by a slow but steady approach, creating an immersive atmosphere that keeps the dancefloor moving without losing the emotional connection to the music.

Throughout his career, he has signed music and recorded mixtapes for different labels, taking his sounds to various parts of the world. Each of his productions reflects his passion for creating a sensory journey, fusing organic and electronic elements that invite reflection without sacrificing energy.With a clear vision of music as a vehicle for deep connection, Dvniel always seeks to take his audience to a place beyond the superficial, where rhythm becomes a universal language.

My cup remains expanded and full after Relish Festival 2025, nestled in the lush native forest of the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.

With deepest gratitude for all the beautiful souls and the land, I had the absolute delight of sharing two hours of tunes on the Friday night in the Chill n Cherish Lounge, at the far end of the Delicious Kitchen tent - the very heart and soul of Relish.

I only hit record a few tracks into the set, but since it was all an impromptu multi-genre musical journey, I didn't feel called to make any edits or rerecord the start of my set.

Once upon a time, leaving his home in the green and mountainous lands of southern Germany, David Juno first felt the soul-stirring beats of melodic deep house, downtempo, techno, and the spectrum of electronica in the unassuming town of Jena. Over the years, he has refined a collection of music imbued with the distinct taste of his European realm. Now, residing in the distillery of cultures that is Aotearoa New Zealand, he concocts harmonious brews that enthrall listeners at large and small gatherings; clandestine woodland rendezvous; thundering, pitch-black basement blowouts, light-speed gigs aboard gleaming spaceships, and even interdimensional celestial soirées. He has become a familiar face at XCHC, Ōtautahi Christchurch, both behind the turntables and on the dance floor, and is a cornerstone in the mysterious outfit known as Mary Hush.
David Juno is a sonic conduit, channeling the energies of spectators and dancers, linking them to the symphony of sensations, emotions, and the cosmic tide that characterizes the human odyssey.
