“It gives me great pleasure to announce the first ever Specimen A Remix Competition. An official release, with all the goodies up for grabs. When it comes to being a judge for this comp, we are not so concerned with what level you are at, we want to hear something original and captivating. Give us your most dangerous ideas and don't be afraid to let rip. I've included some midi files, massive patches and some drum hits for good measure. RULES :

Remix the track in your favourite genre or style according to your own taste/interpretation. Submit your remix as a 320kbps MP3 file to 'Specimen A Rock Star Remix Competition' group on soundcloud.com.

Winning entry must be contactable through the Soundcloud messaging service. 

Start date: 8th May 2014. Entries must be submitted by midnight 19th June 2014 GMT. 

Entries will be judged by Specimen A. The winner will be announced online on 26th June 2014. Tracks using samples from sources requiring clearance (apart from these remix parts) will be disqualified. 

All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix or remix parts is prohibited. 

The Competition Winner will have their official remix released on the Rockstar Remixes EP on Funkatech Records and receive prizes from our partners DMG Audio and Novation.

The Talent of Tomorrow Prize winner will receive A "Big Kick” VST and 5 x Artist Series sample DVD's by Loopmasters and have their remix featured on both Specimen A and Funkatech Soundcloud pages.

Your submission of a remix in this contest automatically constitutes as your agreement to our terms and conditions. 

Entering this remix competition implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions, which are legally binding. Specimen A reserve the right to disqualify any entrant if we have reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these terms and conditions. 

The winning track must be provided in either WAV or AIFF format prior to mastering. 

All parts made available to download, and all parts downloaded remain the property of Specimen A. All remixes completed, whether submitted in this competition or not, remain the property of Specimen A. 

No exploitation, or distribution of remixes shall be permitted without the sole written consent of Specimen A. 

Specimen A reserve the right to cancel or amend the terms of this competition at anytime without prior notice. 

Any changes will be posted within the rules on this page.

The competition and the terms and conditions of this agreement will be governed by the law of England & Wales.
