Frankie 'The Ram' Ferrara was born in Capua (Italy) in 1983. He approaches the world of House Music very early thanks to the nights spent listening to the radio in the mid-90s, years in which various programs are broadcast, such as the Mastermix on Radio Italia Network, the Tony Humphries Radio Show and Clubbing on Radio Station One, in 1998 he listens for the first time live DJs of the caliber of Frankie Knuckles, who is still his favorite DJ, Tony Humphries, David Morales and Louie Vega and is immediately impressed by the technique but above all by the ability to mix the various musical genres.
From that moment he started attending the most underground clubs and the most exclusive parties not only in Campania, but around Italy and abroad listening to all the greatest Italian and international DJs.
The passion for House Music becomes true love and so he decides to learn to mix and to date he has had the good fortune to have been able to express his concept of House Music in various parties on the Campania scene, also supporting many international artists.
He simply defines himself as a lover of music at 360 °, he loves House Music in all its nuances, since his thought is that wonderful music is the one that when you listen to it makes you feel alive and transmits sensations and emotions of all kinds, regardless of gender.

He has produced and remixed over 500 records for an all-star roster of multi-platinum artists, including Mariah Carey, U2, Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Madonna, and Whitney Houston. Not one to rest on his laurels, in the midst of this non-stop tour schedule, Morales launched DIRIDIM Records in 2018. With this label, Morales is signing and developing artists-and naturally, releasing some of his own productions. DIRIDIM celebrates all dance music, from the classic sounds Morales is known for to straight up electronic. His unquenchable thirst for newness is precisely why this native New Yorker remains relevant. 'It is about keeping an open mind,' Morales explains.

Here’s the second single straight out of the upcoming David Morales LP “Sunday Mass Vol. 1”, which will be fully available early 2024. “Into the Groove” follows the first single “India” - this time David delivers a sound that is much closer to his previous iconic house music work. The core of this composition is an enthralling house beat combined with a bass that, as the title track describes, couldn’t help but be the grooviest possible. But it’s the harmonic parts that give “Into the Groove” its remarkable charm, with joyous chord progressions and organ parts almost adding a gospel feeling to the piece. The track features New York-based Italian vocalist Georgia Cee, which is certainly a cherry on top in terms of quality and substance for the smashing hit.

Joe Santoro is debuting on DIRIDIM this month, with this single EP. ‘DATHIMA’ brings on some serious heat with a climaxing crescendo - the track combines the deep house production style of Joe with world music influences on the vocal and percussions for an ultimate mesmerizing effect. On remix duties we have label owner David Morales: the David Morales remix comes off as rhythm-heavy house music, while at the same leaving space for the harmonic progression as the track evolves, making it a perfect DJ set gem. On top of this, the house music legend also delivers a dub version of the remix; this take is less focused on the harmonic parts of the track making it much more centered around the rhythm and groove-radiating bass parts. Last but not least, the original track comes with an instrumental version without the acapella parts as well. 

All in all ‘DATHIMA’ is a class EP, each of the four tracks possesses a specific atmosphere for the dancefloor and we are sure we will hear these a lot in clubs and festivals around the world. ‘DATHIMA’ is out on all digital platforms on November 30th.

David Morales has transcended musical genres to create a global brand. His music productions have appeared in popular films and television shows, including The Devil Wears Prada, Ninja Turtles 2, Don’t Mess With the Zohan, and Star (TV Series). His DIRIDIM radio show can be heard on Ibiza Global Radio and numerous other stations around the world which is streamed to millions of listeners around the world. In 2016, Morales was the lead judge on “Top DJ” a national television series broadcast on Italia 1. When it came time to wear his fashion model hat, Morales appeared in a global advertising campaign for luxury design house, Iceberg. 

HISTORY
David Morales honed his skills as a DJ in the 1980s and 1990s at such legendary clubs as the Ozone Layer, Paradise Garage, Red Zone, Zanzibar, Tunnel and Club USA just to name a few. When the remix and DJ work began taking off, Morales teamed up with house music legend, Frankie Knuckles, and For The Record DJ Pool founder/NYC nightlife impresario, Judy Weinstein, to create Def Mix Productions.
Morales’ prolific production career kicked into high gear in the 1990s with the release of his solo debut album, “The Program” by David Morales & The Bad Yard Club. In the late-1990s, with hundreds of remixes (Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover,” Janet Jackson’s “Throb,” Alison Limerick’s “Where Love Lives,” CeCe Peniston’s “Finally,” Jamiroquai’s “Space Cowboy”, Jaydee’s “Plastic Dreams,” Robert Owens’ “I’ll Be Your Friend,” under his belt, Morales recorded the groundbreaking house classic, “Needin’ U,” under the alias David Morales Presents The Face. Morales’ second album, “2 Worlds Collide,” arrived in 2005, followed six years later, by his third album, “Changes.” 
David Morales was nominated for his first Grammy Award in 1996 as a Producer on Mariah Carey’s album, ‘Daydream’ for the song ‘Fantasy’. In 1998 he won a Grammy Award for “Remixer of the Year.”
Though Morales’ past is surely one for music’s history books, the DJ-turned-artist always has his eyes firmly focused on the future—on what lies ahead. He keeps an ear to the ground, regularly exploring new music, new artists, and hotly tipped DJs who might inspire him to “go and do my homework.” He happily embraces the new generation of clubgoers. “They don’t care about yesterday”, he says, with a knowing smile.
