After releasing an underground superbanger that reached the first place in Beatport’s techno chart and which uncompromisingly fired up the club’s turmoil ’Hoodlum’, Romain Reynaud aka Traumer is back with another smashing piece of art. First featured in Papa’s mastefrul Essential Mix and now to be released in Cocoon’s 15th compilation on the 24th of August, ‘Kiraf’ is destined to become the raw techno anthem. And for the launching of our premiere series, we are proud to present it to our audience. The Clubber also got a chance to have Traumer for a conversation which you can read further.

Once again calling upon a wealth of closely associated talent, Moon Harbour now serves up the latest instalment in their family orientated Inhouse compilation. Contributing new and exclusive cuts to the 12 track affair are label artists old and new, from Sable Sheep to Luna City Express, Sven Tasnadi to Mathias Kaden, whilst there are also some debut appearances from artists like Anja Schneider or Ninetoes.

Now into its 16th year, the label based in Leipzig and run by Matthias Tanzmann is a leader in its field. Offering up a rich and diverse take on tech house, it is celebrated for not only dynamite EPs that are as loved by DJs as they are by dancers, but also for its inventive albums and jam packed compilations. This latest one is another window into the ever evolving world of Moon Harbour and offers up some real treats along the way.

Steel Down from Mathias Kaden is a tightly coiled, bass driven number and our Debut Transmission today, label manager Dan Drastic steps out with the coy aquatic house funk of Room Full of Heroes, Sven Tasnadi, Zohki, Ninetoes, Sidney Charles and Sabb rounds things out.

Mid July will see the release of Shaun J. Wright & Alinka’s ‘Greed’ EP via the Lovecrimes imprint, featuring remixes from our Debut Transmission today Jozif and label co-founder Waifs & Strays.

American producers and DJ’s Shaun J. Wright & Alinka have been steadily on the rise over the past few years with material on their Twirl imprint garnering them support from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and Heidi, Luke Solomon, Tim Sweeney, Lauren Flax and recent sets at Berlin’s revered Panorama Bar. Here though we see the duo introduced to a new imprint in the shape of Lovecrimes with new material following an EP from Crosstown Rebels and The Classic Music Company.

Up first is the original mix of title track ‘Greed’ and in typical fashion from the pair we’re treated to a heady house groove fuelled by spiralling hat rolls, bumpy bass hits, soft stab sequences and Wright’s infectious vocal stylings throughout.  On the flip is our Debut Transmission today, the remix, which comes courtesy of London’s jozif who reworks Greed with a low-slung feel via snaking sub bass lines and intricate processing of the original parts.
