How can you ever write a happy song when the voices in your head that were conditioned by well-meaning and not so well-meaning authority figures in and around your life constantly tell you that you're wrong, that every time you smile, it's based on a façade, every time you laugh it's sarcasm, it should be a sarcastic laugh because everything you stand for is wrong, everything you stand for goes against what society was built for, and you don't belong a successful individual, you don't belong someone with a house and a family?
