Chris Nord, dj and producer from Salzburg in Austria, discovered his passion for electronic music already in the early 90s. When you find him behind the decks in a club or at a festival, you can expect a floating mix between minimalistic deep tech and minimal techno with a dark and gloomy touch, spiced up with signature groovy elements. In terms of production and his style hereof, Chris always kept various musical options open. His own productions vary from stripped down progressive influenced sounds to more minimalistic and bass heavy (Minimal) Techno tracks with a dark note.

The one thing in common for all tracks, is the energy in them, focusing that on the dance floor. During time, Chris has released and remixed on labels such as Subios Records (GER), Pointzero Rec (BG), Techgnosis Record (CAN), Amped (GB), Soupherb Records (GER/IND), Shadow Wulf (USA), Mothr Music (ARG), Music5Clubbers (IT), Joker Black (ARG) to mention a few.

Last but not least, he also co-founded the successful Austrian event-series called Tiefdruck, at the end of 2018, a project also known for their own popular podcast, that focusses on dark and minimal aspects of techno.

WE are happy to present the next mix on our AlpaKast series, a regular podcast series of sets and mixes from talented artists all around the world.

For our 33rd edition, we are honored and excited to present someone very important in the psytechno community; Tanja Le Chains.

With her crew Tiefdruck, for the last 4 years she has been pushing the psytech / dark minimal sound by playing gigs all over, throwing amazing events in Austria and posting sets from many producers and DJs on her online channel;s.

The timing works well for this set, as she is throwing an AlpaKa showcase on December 10th 2022 in her hometown of Salzburg, Austria. We are incredibly honored to be able to come over there and share our love for music in person!

digital psy-tech-minimal sound with deep and dark melody tuned techno and adding strong rythms with inspiring lyrics from the past to connect the audience and take them with me to a "journey of a 12'"
