I went with a 4 on the floor style that somewhat evolves during the second section of the track. Never produced music before so I'm excited to some back to this at the end of the semester.

Project 1- Drum Programming

Listened to my roommates tortoise bang against the glass for two years now and figured it was time to sample it. The other samples include my window spring, dishwasher, a few different glasses, the TV table and my good old Mr Coffee.

Project2- Rhythmic Noise

Much to consider here. I went for a very deep digital sounding bass, with as close to UK garage drum rack I could.

This lecture was given live in Vail for a handful of attendees. Guest speaker Larp provided some excellent insight to get things going, and then yielded the podium allowing me to add my own insight. Larp returned towards the end of the lecture time to give his closing remarks and then I closed with a few words.

Lecture 003: Vail w/ Guest Speaker Larp

I used a combination of operator, wave table, and drift to make the harmony. Chord progression is C major with a few different variations of [I, vi, IV, V] going back and forth in a call and response manner. The synths themselves: Operator was my least favorite to use/ customize but it has a relatively square shape to it and it being passed through a square LFO. Wavetable is a combination of a very sin looking sawtooth being passed through a curved edge sawtooth LFO. Drift was my favorite and consists of a sin wave in the first oscillator and a triangle in the second on.
