After the great KOBOI EP and the internationally acclaimed song and videoclip It's Happening,  the transmedia artist KnoR is presenting his new project entitled “Don’t Go”. The 3 tracks music release features a music video and a mobile app. As a modern storyteller, KnoR reaches from pop music to virtual reality (VR) to spread a message of freedom. No less.

KnoR's new EP “Don’t Go” is composed of two original tracks and a remix by Canson. The title track Don't Go is a rich and surprising song: as the beat brings the listener back to the club, the lyrics are floating on a warm bass melody surrounded by a soundscape of rhythms with a very natural feel.

The message of the song is intensified in the music video realised with Berlin based filmmaker Xaver Xylophon. The movie invites the audience to step back and think. Walking through his life, KnoR questions his relationship to this place we call home: a place with borders and a nawhere we are too easily fooled.

The cornerstone of the release is the VR application developed with the computational artist Mativa and the Geneva based interactive studio apelab. “Don’t Go” becomes a virtual refuge where the user can immerse in an experience of total perception to forget his fears and the influence of daily media propaganda.

Ii was the third day of the wind but it was not as heavy now and he sat at the ,table and read the story over from the start to where he had left off, correcting as he read. He went on with the story, living in it and nowhere else, and when he heard the voices of the two girls outside he did not listen. When they went by the window he lifted his 'hand and waved. They waved and the dark girl smiled and Catherine put her fingers to her lips. The girl looked very pretty in the morning, her face shining and her color high. Catherine was beautiful as always. He heard the car start and noted it was the Bugatti. He went back into the story. It was a good story and he finished it shortly before noon. It was too late to have breakfast and he was tired after working and did not want to drive the old Isotta into town with its bad brakes and huge malfunctioning motor -although the key was with a note Catherine had left saying they had gone to meet Boubouteq, Zuma Dionys and Tribu Oro, spend a charming night with them deep in the Gardens Of Jammu, close to Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains right behind and would look in at the cafe for him on their way home.

For our delight, Indio Blanco presents to us a 6-track EP named "El Caracol y La Luna" that travels by distinct sonorities and moments of his career, highlighting the diversity on references that passed by the artist's fruition during the last decades. Indio Blanco is the new alias given to the multimedia project created by the Dutch pioneer and multifaceted artist Piet Jan Blauw.

Piet Jan started his career by combining and developing distinct techniques through his painting with water, oil-paint, etchings, silkscreens, jewellery ( silver, acrylic and rubber ), brass sculptures and kinetic objects. He was a member of the artist union "BBK 69" (1970-1989). Also Piet Jan lectured at the Folk High School in Bergen, the N.S. training school for teachers in Haarlem and the International Make Up Art School in Cologne – Germany.

For the past five decades he's been involved on several incredible projects with talents such as the Mexican pre-hispanic masterminds Jorge Reyes, Cheko Mosqueira and Alyosha Barreiro. In the Netherlands he built partnerships with notorious deejays like DJ Isis and DJ Dimitri Kneppers and collaborations with avant-garde talents from around the globe.

Since the early 70s, Piet Jan Blauw started crafting and performing with interactive kinetic installations which became the foundation of his performances. These installations were quite substantial therefore the artist started to craft smaller sensorial sculptures and use them as instruments. He uses this signature technique until nowadays.

Indio Blanco - Ignio (Feat. Jorge Reyes)

@naobamusic a.k.a. Tamara Montenegro is a Nicaraguan DJ and music producer, known for her mixes of various genres and musical styles.
Her experience as a psychoacoustic sound artist and filmmaker gives her a distinctive sensitivity when composing her acoustic designs and musical arrangements for a transformation of conscious life through dance and deep listening.
On this occasion Ocelotl opens a door to the general aesthetics of Silice, through the mixture of ancestral voices, organic sounds and electronic bases, inviting to a broad universe in which Latin American women are currently producing music.

Shika Shika is more than happy to present a new Botanas single by Brazilian talent Numa Gama from the Voodoohop Collective. In Numa Gama's words:

"Sounds can transport us in every single way. Right now, we cannot get together so I decided to collect these tracks to give everyone out there the chance to listen and dance. Together still, but in a more diluted spacetime.

This release contains two tracks I used to play a lot on the dance floor, an amazing spontaneous cross remix by Barda and Barrio Lindo, as well as an ambient mix which I couldn't resist to make at the eleventh hour. 
All the sounds were collected from the many recordings I made in Amatlan the Quetzalcoatl, México, in early 2018. Even the echos were extracted from how the sound of the fireworks bounced between the mountains - something you could hear often because of the religious celebrations between November and December. In an improvised home studio, I added percussion, ngoni and guitar layers. The synth sound design for the tracks turned out to have an airy, smooth touch which resembles somehow a West African sounding texture - but from another dimension. As if it was a memory swimming in ether.

I hope more memories will keep being added to the magnetic field that these tracks represent.
