I thrive in chaos. As i placed myself behind the booth, underneath the laser-gridded ceiling in Red Box, at what has almost become my second home, Culture Box. I knew that i was stepping
into the unknown. In Culture Box, the crowd shifts between nights. You can't predict their response to the music. DJ'ing here is explorative. This night was no different.

It's 01:30am peak time, as i flick through my folders. Starting out with Tarzsa's remix of "James Blake - I'm So Blessed You're Mine". From here i dive into atmospheric grooves, rapid rhythms and UK-Garage stompers. The crowd responds well to the more emotional and atmospheric tunes, rather than the heavy-hitters. In this moment, the floor and the booth connects, as i recofingure my set, to evolve around steady grooves and atmospheric sounds.

This recording is the first hour of my 3 hour set. While the last 2 hours are also great. Here, the first hour is what excites me. The search for just the right vibe.

With bits from Kessler, Joy O, Floating points, it's a mix threaded by that hard to miss style of dark and saturated 2 step that's part of a long lineage tracing its roots to the likes of kode9 and Burial. Speaking of, heard there's some unreleased from the latter in here, somehow.
