i have always wanted to do a very fast heavy guitar instrumental, inspired by the likes of Racer X. so here is a first pass at it. it still needs a little work. 2 guitar breaks still to record and i think the rythm guitar has too much reverb in the mix. but would like to know what you folks think so far. I started playing in the mid 80's inspierd primarily by Richie Blackmore. Then i got into Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore, TOny Macalpine etc. Then along came Nuno Bettencourt and Richie Kotzen with more of a blues/rock feel which blew me away. Now i am still a big fan of all these guys and of course, more recently Guthrie Govan. At the same time i find myself getting increasingly influenced by the subtlty of guys like eric clapton and dave gilmour. i hope my playing conveys all these influences respectfully. i would be grateful to know what you think of my uploads.
