Norwegian duo Darkthrone return with their first new studio material since 2013’s triumphant ‘The Underground Resistance’; the album becoming the band’s most successful release in recent years. A new heavy metal odyssey now awaits as Fenriz and Nocturno Culto once more show their mastery of “the riff”, demonstrating why Darkthrone remain one of the most respected and enduring acts in the history of extreme metal.

An eclectic mix of free-spirited 80’s fuelled blackened heavy metal, all executed in Darkthrone's trademark raw & organic style, ‘Arctic Thunder’ was recorded & produced by the band themselves, with the sessions conducted at Darkthrone’s old rehearsal unit, "The Bomb Shelter", which they had originally used between 1988-1990. 

With themes based around hate, contempt, & the inner mind & soul, & with the notable presence of Nocturno Culto on vocal duties across all songs for the first time in recent years, 'Arctic Thunder' retains a grim atmosphere, with a healthy dose of raw black metal inspired riffing permeating the album's 8 tracks.

Mastering is once again handled by Jack Control at Enormous Door.

Darkthrone began in the late 80's as a thrash/death metal act & progressed through technical death/doom metal experimentation to become legends of the black metal world & one of the original leading bands of the Norwegian scene, as well as inspiring a whole generation of metal bands.

A Noturna Régia surgiu em meados de 2011 no cenário Dark/Gótico da cidade de Campina Grande - PB, cenário esse bastante influente no Nordeste .
A banda teve seu primeiro esboço mais precisamente no mês de agosto do decorrente ano, reunindo ideias e pessoas já conhecidas na cena local como é o caso do Rodolfo Tietre e Valdênio Solfieri ( Guitarristas ) que tiveram importante papel em seus projetos anteriores, além desses também fazem parte atualmente da Noturna Régia, Thiago Macedo ( Contrabaixo ) , Daniel D.vill ( Vocais ) e a Miss Phantom ( N.B. de Programação ). Tendo passado por algumas mudanças na formação do seu elenco, desde a criação das primeiras composições até a estreia. Hoje com sua formação atual, preza por sonoridades em sua maioria próximas do Darkwave, Electrogothic e afins. Tendo como suas principais influencias musicais grandes nomes da subcultura nacional e mundial, em especial bandas da nostálgica década de 80. Com letras autorais cantadas em português possuindo um repertório bastante variado tendo em suas letras inicialmente temas como: criaturas mitológicas, cotidiano numa visão sombria, sentimentos intensos, sexualidade entre outros. Uma das suas principais características são refrões fortes fundidos num som cadenciado e sinistro.
\"A Rainha da Noite \" um dos muitos significados de tal nomenclatura... lançou o seu primeiro registro que conta com 4 faixas autorais da mais legitima musicalidade Dark/Gótica divulgando , assim toda sua majestade sombria para aqueles que clamam por boas musicas, selando assim um compromisso para com seu publico .
