It's hard to pinpoint Parisian producer, Twenty9's sound, but the amalgamation of all his influences definitely amounts to something extremely nostalgic. The feeling is undeniable thanks to breezy rhodes and warm 80s analogue sounds and there's also no doubt that his work would slot right into the catalogue of artists pioneering that unmistakeable 'Toronto' sound. 

'So Far Ahead' is the first single off TapeTrack Vol. 3, which we see as a dedication to modern R&B. It's a reminder to where the R&B scene is moving thanks to modern classics like Frank's "Channel Orange" and Drake's last record. Coupled with sub knocking bass, Twenty9's given us something distinctly him with this release.

We’re always surprised when Daktyl sends us new music… just never quite sure what to expect when we press play. That sort of enigma is definitely the most attractive feature in the Brit’s music, it’s a rare ability to be able to switch between the calm, melodic, mesmerising & then the heavy, all out, bass driven madness. 
The ‘Marlena’ EP is the latter, a three track thumper of a release, teaming up with fellow artists Howie Lee & OZZIE for anthems designed to make the club shake. From the UK vibin’ ‘Marlena’, right through to the trap influenced ‘Shake Dat’, we’re certain these beats are being put into good use currently on the Daktyl USA/Canada tour until the end of October. 
It’s undoubtedly a contrast to the music Daktyl contributed to the 3am series, the hypnotising ‘You there’ remix which will fit closer to theme of his upcoming album released next year.

i was on my way home, listening to this beat by @weirddough
he's an amazing producer, been always inspired by his stuff.
this beat is originally called "chocolate milk" and i just looped the first part.

so yea i was on my way home and i started to write down some thoughts and i already had this melody in my head. i always end up posting stuff so spontaneous. it was like two takes.. nothing big. could've done better but i didn't feel like redoing this. wanted to keep the moment. it's very personal.
