Music About The Human Emotions (Suite): Part 1 - Repentance

Well, this is not a Christmas song.
I recall we were skiing inside a snowy valley some years back (were actually learning, tumbling & falling). Didn't know why but Robert Frost's "Stopping By Woods" just seized my mind.  So I eventually made a song out of it but I never get to ski again.   This became one of my favorite compositions.

In the strangeness of time
The mystery of slowly filling woods
Settling down on one sleepy rhyme

Anxiety seizes my heart

Always with the slightest contrary pull of having to go on
No sensing of where it will lead
Enough trials to make you strong
Scenery is lovely, bright and deep
But we all have promises to keep

There we were, stepping on first snow
We swayed and paddled in the cold
Amid all of life's highs and lows
We knew our hearts had not grown old
At the point where the valley terminated

Welcome to my final release of 2020 and i thought this song was a good way to wrap up my year of recording  and music and film making .
For most artists and creatives its been a very tough year but i always see light at the end of the tunnel and this song is about keeping faith and having hope and to not stop what you enjoy doing and hopefully it entertains and engages those who listen ..
