The first podcast of this year is created by Davut Yildiz, also known as Dreams of Empire. Davut showcased his artistry by making an intro, especially for this podcast. 

Last year he co-founded Organel, with who he brings people together by creating communal experiences through electronic music. Davut's strength lies in his musical knowledge, which stems from his experience as a clubber, DJ and producer. This knowledge, combined with an emotive approach to composing his sets and productions, make his releases such a pleasurable and unique journey.

All proceeds from this EP will go to support KAF Kolektif, which helps people affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.
Since 9 February 2023, KAF Kolektif has been of direct support in Kahramanmaraş and, with the help of local, and international NGOs and integration of locals, has been able to build a field kitchen, make and serve hot meals, and construct toilets.

Later, workshops, a playground for children, a temporary cinema, and a social area for adults were built. Their future plans are to support creating a self-sufficient economy and reconstruct houses with an innovative, sustainable, and solid approach. Hence, with this EP, we hope to make a contribution to this project.

Once upon a time, in a land surrounded by lily pads and reeds, there lived a frog named Freddie. Freddie was a friendly frog and loved to spend his days basking in the sun and playing with his friends. However, there was one thing that made Freddie stand out from all the other frogs in the land: he had a loud snoring problem.

Whenever Freddie fell asleep, he would start snoring loudly, and the sound would travel far and wide. The other frogs in the land were used to it, but Freddie was always embarrassed about his snoring. He tried everything he could to stop snoring, but nothing seemed to work.

One day, Freddie met a wise old owl who lived in a tree at the edge of the pond. The owl listened to Freddie's problem and told him, "My dear Freddie, your snoring is a gift. It is a special sound that only you can make, and it brings joy to all those who hear it."

Freddie was shocked to hear this and asked the owl, "Really? How could my snoring bring joy to others?" The owl explained, "You see, Freddie, many creatures in the land have trouble sleeping at night, but your snoring has a soothing effect on them. It lulls them to sleep and brings peace to their dreams."

Freddie was amazed by this and started to see his snoring in a new light. He no longer felt ashamed of his snoring, but was proud of it and embraced it as a unique part of himself.

From that day on, Freddie became known as the "Soothing Snorer," and all the creatures in the land would gather around the pond whenever they needed a good night's sleep. Freddie's snoring became famous throughout the land, and he was loved by all for the joy and comfort he brought to others.

And so, Freddie lived happily ever after, embracing his gift and bringing happiness to all those who heard it. The end.

We are excited to announce the launch of our label with the release of OBERHAUM01, a dynamic Various Artists EP spotlighting producers who have previously featured on our radio. This release showcases three rhythm-driven tracks, each offering a distinctive sonic identity while sharing a common focus on depth and rhythm.

First up is DJ OSX with “Shutting Capes”—a track built on rhythmic percussion and a rolling low end. As it builds, a pad drifts in, adding a layer of emotion and space without losing the drive.

Next, Davut Yildiz delivers “Trigger Response”, blending Middle Eastern-inspired melodies with deep breakbeats and high-pitched, rhythmic, spacey elements to create a sense of expansive depth.

Closing the release, Uksimo presents “Informal”, a minimalist four-to-the-floor groove. With crisp percussion and intricately layered modular synths, the track offers a clean and focused atmosphere.
