Next up to the Nektar Track series is a big one, Newcastle/Steel City local, DAVYROE, with his debut track, Step Back.

Finding the love for DJing in lockdown, Davy found his way in production just recently and has already started with a bang. Focusing on Techno/Breaks last year, Davy's moment of turning to the new Fast House, high energy techno scene came when he attended local newcastle event 'Daydreaming' and came to the liking of SWIM & CRUSH3d.

Branching through popular Newcastle events and playing some heavy sets as of late, Davy looks to extend into new areas this year. He hopes to be able to release plenty of good tracks and "gain traction through my music". Also founding the event space, 'Kree8productions', located in the Steel City as well, a big year is coming up for Davy.

This track is designed for dance floors and beat enthusiasts. I wrote this track in my hometown of Newcastle, Australia. I drew inspiration from artists such as Ned Bennett, CRTB and other hard groove associates. Utilising tribal percussion and syncopated rhythms to create a hard groove composition.
