PREMIERE - DC Salas - Sinking (Riotvan)

We're thrilled to introduce our latest signing: the French electronic duo Nomenklatür. Renowned for their innovative and genre-blending sound, Nomenklatür makes their debut with a captivating EP featuring three original tracks, each offering a unique sonic experience that pushes the boundaries of leftfield electronica.

The journey begins with "King Da Ka," a track that blends intricate rhythms with atmospheric textures, creating a rich sonic palette that captivates from the very first note. Following is "Say It," which delves deeper into the duo’s experimental ethos with its pulsating beats and hauntingly melodic undertones. The EP concludes with “Dr Strangelove,” which slows the pace and takes listeners on an exhilarating ride through the duo's innovative soundscape, featuring a high-energy fusion of rhythmic pulses and captivating synth lines.
On the remix front, Karassimeon reimagines “King Da Ka” with a high-tempo twist, infusing the track with fresh energy and amplifying its dynamic qualities.

Nomenklatür - Dr Strangelove (SAM018)

Teniente Castillo returns to Roam Recordings with Two to Tango - an artfully crafted dark offering backed by a strong set of remixers that carry the integrity of the original into uniquely different areas. The original version from Play Pal Music label boss combines guitars and electronic sounds in a way that both sounds like a live band and an abstract excerpt from a conscious machine. Legendary New York artist Justin Strauss takes on the first remix adding a vocal that sounds like it was always meant to be underpinned by an exquisite liquid bassline. Thomass Jackson is up next with a beautifully quirky rendition that feels like an after party for which you want to be invited. Kaputt club resident Nuclear Digital Transistor rounds out the EP with a percussive version that brings out the guitars from the original in a new light and we gotta say if uniquely fitting basslines are your thing Nuclear Digital Transistor seals the deal on this four track EP.

Teniente Castillo - Two To Tango (Nuclear Digital Transistor Remix) [Roam Recordings]

Frankfurt's Max Buchalik is in the early phases of his production career but has many years of experience throwing parties in his hometown, where he is a pioneering force. With his deep understanding of dancefloor dynamics, he now pairs his love of the 80s with rich sound designs on his debut release for Brooklyn-based imprint Melodize. Opener 'Higher State' is a bright house cut awash with sugary, pixelated chords and twinkling pads. Its retro-future charms and colourful, uplifting arps all serve to get hands in the air and heads amongst the stars. Remixer Venice Arms is an alias of accomplished dark disco don Curses, who has long been a fixture in the Berlin underground. His take on 'Higher State' is a snappy proto-house cut with 80s synth work and natty chords that are busy and full of fun. The second original 'Midnight Passion' is another vibrant track with throwback synth progressions and retro textures. The melodies shine bright as they rain down over snappy drums and melancholic leads packed with exciting emotions. Remixing this one is Italian DJ, producer and label owner Fabrizio Mammarella, who has a fine discography that takes in releases on DFA, Permanent Vacation and Correspondant, as well as his own Slow Motion Music, Wrong Era Records and Emet. His lively disco-house version is lit up with shiny chords, chattery percussive patterns, woodpecker-like hits, and sustained chords that will dazzle the dance floor. Max Buchalik ‘Higher State’ EP (incl. Venice Arms & Fabrizio Mammarella Remixes) drops via Melodize on 1st November 2024.

This year's Bonkers Music compilation, celebrating its sixth anniversary, includes a stellar lineup of artists such as Neskeh, Mike Sacchetti (SXDNS168), David Meyer (SXDNS305), Leonor (SXDNS034), Radial Gaze, Persona RS, Ducati Flux (SXDNS213 as Max Ferrer), and Ludviq (SXDNS413), the big honcho himself. Together, these artists bring a diverse, high-energy collection of cuts that explore slightly evolved musical styles while staying true to the label’s signature sound.

Intruso's contribution to the soirée, "Somos Acido," is an electrifying journey back to the early days of House and Trance music. Hailing from Bogota and now based in Barcelona, Intruso seamlessly integrates classic influences into a fresh, vibrant composition that distinguishes itself in today's electronic music scene due to a rare complexity gait.

"Somos Acido" shines on the VA for its vibrant and energetic Acid bassline. This driving force propels the theme forward with relentless intensity, making it an undeniable dance floor favourite. The bassline, reminiscent of the early 2000s, perfectly encapsulates the essence of that era while infusing it with contemporary production techniques. Intruso's ability to capture the emotional resonance of his early experiences with electronic music is evident throughout the track. The melodies evoke a sense of nostalgia, transporting its audience back to a time when electronic music was still evolving and finding its place in the mainstream.
