🎧 Cedric Scheibel presents “Luminescence”Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 271 🎧

The extremely talented Frankfurt-based producer with a certain penchant for melancholy and big feelings needs no further introduction. We're talking about the lovely https://soundcloud.com/cedricscheibel, who everyone should really know. His releases definitely speak for themselves. As expected, his eye-opening mix is in the same vein. The catchy "Inception" opener alone is first class and opens the gates to the world of the 'Scheibelian' master, from which he never lets us leave. Trapped in the fundamental state of luminescence here and there he presses the accelerator a little. But very discreetly and naturally with a lot of organic and deep elements. Plus this deep & dreamy atmosphere. Simply magnificent and great cinema for mind and body. Definitely a mix for the all-time afterhour playlist and beyond. Word.

How this mix came about and what his thoughts behind it, he reveals to us as usual in our short interview:

[ °°INTERVIEW°° ]

✔️ What are your musical influences? What is your musical background?

As a child, I took my first musical steps on the piano, until I discovered my passion for electronic music as a teenager.  For a year now I have been trying to combine these two almost opposing worlds in my sets and productions. :)

✔️ In your opinion, what is the perfect afterhour for you?

The right people! Not too many, not too few. But with the right people around you, an afterhour is really fun anywhere and under any circumstances :)

✔️ What thoughts would you like to share with us about your mix?

I haven't recorded a podcast for a long time. Although this one is now a little faster than usual, it is still slightly melancholy as always, but also hopeful. Perhaps that's why it's very appropriate for the time of year, but also for world events in general.  Especially in times like these, I think it's important not to lose hope. :)

There are many of my own productions and of course from many artists that I really appreciate! I hope you enjoy listening. :)

Hive Club Zurich has been one of my favorite electro clubs for many years. 
It was a great honor to play for all my friends last Friday night in this legendary club in my favorite room at the top of the club (Tanzstube) from 1:00 to 2:30AM. 

This recorded live hybrid set is therefore also a very special set for me with many new produced tracks from me and my friends.

Hive Switzerland - Verrückte Kassette - live hybrid

Recorded on a golden autumn day, the sun shining as if scripted for the perfect open-air set, this recording captures the magic of my recent set at the legendary Sisyphos club in Berlin. The vibe on the Beach Floor was mesmerizing, with the energy of the crowd syncing beautifully to the music. Although this isn't the full recording, it’s a carefully curated cut that reflects the flow and essence of the day. Sisyphos, with its unmatched atmosphere, gave me one of my most memorable sets yet.

"BRVNOV is the new face of Bruno Vieira, an artist who breathes music in many dimensions. A true Pernambucano at heart and a multi-instrumentalist by instinct, he forged his own path in music amid a family of established artists, allowing his sound to speak for itself. From a young age, the guitar first, and later the electric guitar, became a part of him, serving as his creative extension and primary tool of expression. When he realized this relationship was no longer just a passion—it was his language, his essence—it instinctively connected him to the sound of synthesizers and the burgeoning electronic music scene as we know it today. The year was 1989.  Still a teenager and prohibited from going to clubs, he expanded his connection to electronic music when he was invited by DJs he met while digging for records in Recife—his hometown—to perform as a DJ on radio programs at Transamérica and Cidade.  During the first decade of his career, from 2000 to 2010, while performing under the name Bruno V, he established himself as one of the leading names in the Brazilian electronic scene, playing at the iconic Skol Beats festivals in 2002 and 2005, Creamfields, among others, as well as all the major clubs of the time. 

In 2015, after taking a break from his career to work abroad as an executive, he returned with a new musical proposal, giving life to Duoprop. This collaborative project gained significant recognition, even being chosen by top DJs like Hardwell, David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Tiësto, and Paul Van Dyk to open their tours in Brazil that year. The highlight of this return, and also a farewell moment to the major festivals, was his performance at the first edition of Tomorrowland in Brazil in 2015. After that, Bruno moved abroad again, resuming his career as an executive, but even outside the spotlight, he immersed himself in the studio, dedicating himself to compositions and international collaborations, always seeking new ways to expand his sound. Now, imbued with new inspirations and an unwavering passion for music, and performing as BRVNOV, he reinvents his own narrative, exploring new horizons and firmly establishing himself as a solo artist."
