France’s Community Center welcomes MLF back to the imprint under her Dj Super Jackpot guise this November with the ‘Livraison’ EP, comprising five high-octane, trance tinged, rave workouts.

Marie Lefur, better known as MLF and Dj Super Jackpot is a French producer and DJ based between Nantes and the French capital of Paris. She debuted on Community Center back in March of 2022 with the ‘66BEO’ EP and here returns under her other alias, Dj Super Jackpot which gravitates sonically towards a more rave and trance inspired house sound.

Up first on the EP is ‘Qui Es-Tu’, laid out across seven minutes with ethereal trance textures, bright stab sequences, murky bass notes and shimmering vocoder like voices throughout. ‘I Say I Got What U At’ follows next and lays down skippy percussion and a thunderous kick underneath vacillating synth licks, elongated subs and breathy vocal uttering the track’s title.

The ‘Stay (Vocal Version)’ follows next, employing choppy acid licks, airy vocal licks and crunchy drums alongside a steel drum synth melody and mesmeric piano lines. ‘This One’s For You’ then shifts focus over the bleepy electronic tones, circling synth hooks, chanting voices and a robust drum groove before the ‘Instrumental Version’ of ‘Stay’ concludes the package.

Der Name des Kollektivs leitet sich nicht nur  aus den Nachnamen der beiden Künstlerinnen ab sondern repräsentiert gleichzeitig genau das Gefühl, welches man beim hören dieser Musik bekommt: Underground House und Acid wechselt sich mit Breakbeats ab , während crazy Sounds den letzten Schliff geben: Mal zwitschern die Vögel, mal bestätigen die Vocals einem das, was man für einen ausgelassenen Abend mit dieser Musik braucht: „It’s okay to be a freak!“ Hier gibt es kein richtig oder falsch beim tanzen, hier ist alles erlaubt. Relaxen und abgehen, in sich gehen und aus sich herauskommen. So jung und schön war es noch nie!

The name of the collective is not only derived from the last names of the two artists, but also represents exactly the feeling you get when listening to this music: underground house and acid alternates with breakbeats, while crazy sounds give the final touch: Sometimes the birds chirp, sometimes the vocals confirm to you what you need for an exuberant evening with this music: "It's okay to be a freak!" Here there is no right or wrong when dancing, here everything is allowed. Relaxing and going out, going into yourself and coming out of yourself. It has never been so young and beautiful!
