Everyday I wake up exhausted by the climate, yet inspired by everyone choosing to use their voice. Lately I’ve been voicing my opinions about the very things I’m passionate about, and started asking myself how I could be louder; so I started writing. Sampling one of my favorite beats by @popwansel and @oakestra, I wrote a song to the black man. I asked those around me (who don’t look like me) why the “black man” was important to them, and I used their answers in the song. I want us to know how much we are loved, and appreciated every single day. Not just by our black queens and other communities, but by US. I hope this brings a smile to someone’s face; it did to mine.
