“Them Just Looking for Freedom”
This suite is a rhythmic lament and coded anthem for the displaced, the silenced, and the seekers. It speaks in Dancehall cadence, Afrobeat pulse, and RnB soul — telling the story of people who don’t want riches or crowns, just a place to breathe without chains.
Verse 1 opens with raw observation: barefoot movement, borderlines crossed, prayers spoken in code.
The hook repeats the haunting truth: “Them just looking for freedom…” — not fame, not empire, just ground.
Verse 2 lifts the rhythm with Afrobeat groove, showing how they rise in silence, rhythm, and trance.
A chant interlude echoes ancestral resistance — call and response, ritual breath.
Verse 3 deepens the metaphor: they wear scars, not gold; they ride stars, not cars.
The final hook harmonizes the ache and the dignity, closing with a spoken outro that names what they truly seek: “Dem don’t want war — dem want love.”
