"Teaspoons and Tablespoons"

Dawn and Marra are proud to announce the release of their much anticipated debut album "Teaspoons and Tablespoons". Recorded in Vancouver, Canada with noted indie producer Howard Redekopp (Tegan and Sara, Said the Whale, Mother Mother, Paper Lions, The Reason), "Teaspoons and Tablespoons" blends folk harmonies with indie attitude to create an original, fresh sound. Redekopp’s steady hand, and ability to cut to the heart of the song allow for a confident but not overly-produced album. From the opening track of “Wicked Little Girl” the listener is drawn into a world of rich melodies and dense harmonies. The lyrics are driven by imagery that allows the listener to create a deep personal narrative. Although both Dawn and Marra are at the beginning of their musical journey, "Teaspoons and Tablespoons" is an album that any artist would hope to create at any age. 

Special guest vocal performances by Juno award winners Said the Whale. Ben Worcester, Tyler Bancroft, Jaycelyn Brown and Spencer Schoening create a magical atmosphere on tracks like “Jaws”, “Not on Top” and “Animals.”
