As a DJ I have many fantasy gigs in my head and for the last 20+ years I have chased and filled in the gaps of my Disco & Boogie vinyl collection predicting that the scene would make a major comeback.

At that time I didn't predict it would come via the re-edit scene and thought that owning all the records and spending a few thousand on them would pay its way.

Although I never made the money back, I have a section of a few hundred that I am very proud of.

Here is just a selection to please the dancefloor recorded live at The Underground Stoke, a very enjoyable experience for me and hopefully you guys too.

Pete Bromley's Disco & Boogie Originals Live On Vinyl 16-7-22 Back In The Day

Revisiting and reviving my 11 year residency at Golden Stoke-On-Trent we at Back In The Day kicked off the new year in style to a sold out crowd at The Underground. 

Playing alongside my old DJ friends Allister Whitehead & Brandon Block with Support from Mikey Worth and Bobs Disco we really managed to capture that 90s atmosphere that with still crave to this day!

This is the first time that myself and Kelvin had revisited the club night that went on to morph into Golden in our hometown of Stoke-On-Trent.

Back 2 Back all night half hour sets, we tried to be as authentic as we could music wise and the general vibe of what made it so special over 30 years ago!

The Golden Massive turned out in force to celebrate the legendary club of the 90's, on Saturday 25/1/25, at The Underground, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, just a stone's throw from where The Void nightclub once stood.
Quite simply, an astonishing atmosphere at this unbelievably good party, nobody does it better!
Close your eyes, and you were there, Back in the Day!

This is what it sounded like, as the doors opened at the start of the night.......... Viva Golden!

Shelleys Stoke-On-Trent live online stream on Sat 18th April 2020

Taken from an interview with Pete:
"The Shelleys residency happened when the DJ that played Thursday nights  there was getting asked to play some Acid & House. He had very little idea about it, so I got introduced to him as "the guy with this new music" via some older mates that I worked with at Creda where he used to work too. This was October 1988 and I did about 8-10 weeks before I quit. I would play an hour set, trax like Inner City - Big Fun, Royal House - Can You Party & Jolly Roger - Acid Man. I was acually DJing there on the night of my 18th Birthday (17th Nov). I then returned for a Saturday night residency in 1991 together with long term friend Daz Willott promoted by the late Pete Timmis"

Originally this was going to be 3 hours of live vinyl action to celebrate Pete's lockdown 50th birthday playing the 80s club trax from his formative teenage years from Electro, Chicago, Acid & Jacking House, Boogie, Soul, Hip Hop & Synth Pop. Pete loves an encore and this time it was another 3 hours !!

Pete Says:
"I originally planned to do something similar in a club as an invite only event but this gives me a chance to invite you all ! This music is very important to me and is a big part of my record collection that I play to myself all the time but rarely play out"
