 My father was born in Singapore and dubbed "Singapore's Wonder Boy" by age 8 he had played with Louis Armstrong.. I didn't meet him till I was 11 and I lived in Singapore for a little over a year in the early 80's..my father passed in Singapore 14 Dec 2010 he was about to make a return trip to the states.. And yes though my mother was singing for a group that opened for: The Monkee's and met married my father in Palm Springs, California.. I was born literally on a horse.. one of my Mother's other loves.. she didn't want to go on a European tour while pregnant so she returned to her home state of North Carolina.. where I was born ..she was riding in a two week horse show the day I was born.. returned to finish the show the day after! I won my first horse show at age two.. and I started breaking training and riding race horse at bush track meets by age 8! I spent a large portion of my life breaking, training, racing horses.. I grew up in 48 states, Singapore and studied human and large/small animal medicine.. sat in on my first human autopsy age 9.. also I was an ASE certified auto mechanic, State emissions inspector.. I spent two summers as a framing carpenter! I love knowledge.. skill sets.. I'm a big ole mess! But happy 'bout it! I've sang since I could talk! Sang in church, schools (went to over 30 schools just between k-12, and I skipped 2 1/2 grades!) I started actually playing seriously in my early mid 30's.. though could play pretty much anything by ear! Music has been one of the only constants in my life! ALL kinds! And it's literally in my DNA! I love writing! I'm a born lyricist! I have had so many songs "grab" my heart/hand.. and help me through a situation.. a moment.. a tear, a smile, a fall.. that I feel blessed to do what "I" do.. if I touch another "someone!" just once with my song.. well, I couldn't ask for much more..
