SHDW & Obscure Shape and their "Mutual Rytm" imprint celebrating a first year anniversary with an outstanding 3 vinyls pack as their tenth release to date and the second instalment of their "Federation of Rytm" compilation series.

Being the buzzing German producers most prestigious project to date, their musical philosophy of "modern old school techno", has been backed up by some of their favorite artists out there, from a well established to new upcoming producers, all contributing their music to take part in one of the most highlighted releases of the new year. The compilation features 22 tracks: 18 cuts spread over 3 vinyls covered with the label's neat artwork signature, and 4 digital bonus tracks. This and more, sum the musical vision of the German duo, going between early hours to peak time anthems and in between previously known artists to the label and new appearances of new talents, all together, symbolised by different generations and areas of techno based music, backed up with the label head honchos SHDW & Obscure Shape's wide community following, marking the calendar for an exciting game changer release set for February 2023.

The "Federation Of Rytm II" vinyl edition comes with a heavy inside-out cover, finished with a high quality logo hot foil print on the front, and printed inner sleeves. Strictly limited to 500 copies.

Berlin techno talent Regent returns to Mutual Rytm with second 12" release, 'Delta Hyve' - a five-track package lined with peak-time heat. Regent is an ever-growing voice in the global techno conversation. His tracks have found their way into high-profile sets worldwide and are renowned for their impressive blend of the past and the present. Versatile but always designed for maximum impact, delivering an impressively crafted sound made for powerful systems, this new outing offers a wealth of different moods and grooves for various parts of the night. Returning to SHDW’s Mutual Rytm imprint following 2023’s successful ‘Coral Knife’ EP, he unveils a fresh selection of cuts that emphasise his emergence with ‘Delta Hyve’.

The title cut ‘Delta Hyve’ opens up with devastating low ends and busy synths that scurry about the mix to bring dynamism to the rooted drums, while ‘Ophaal’ delivers thumping kicks and coarse, textured hits scrape and scratch, while supersized hi-hats bring the intensity to all new levels. ‘Hygea Core’ brings the pressure with hunched-over drum patterns and a sense of urgency in the bass, while creepy pads create an unsettling atmosphere. ‘New Narrative’ powers on like a train with high-speed rhythms and metallic percussive surfaces, all sweeping you off your feet, before ‘Ree 54’ switches things up with bright synth flashes and more extraverted grooves that hark back to the machine soul of early Detroit techno.

The first digital bonus, ‘Presence’, is intense and tinged with the grit of a warehouse and menacing vocals, while ‘Rheplica’ delivers unrelenting loopy drum funk with shattered glass melodies to close the show.

Abstraction is an undeground techno label from Cuba that has been releasing quality music since 2017, listing tracks and remixes by Bas Mooy, Arnaud Le Texier, Temudo, Vegim and many more.

CMRK has exclusively appeared on Smashead Records also known as SMSH until now, and and the Lithuanian talent has put together a collection of five new original works on his new and debut EP for Abstraction.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Bonfire Torture" which begins with a pumping and vigorous energy. Frantic clap patterns and tribal hits are met with a rising siren-like synth that becomes the hypnotic draw, fading down and becoming more prominent in cyclical waves for a raw, percussive workout.

There are few artists carving out a legacy for themselves like Dax J is right now. The British DJ and producer from London has gone from the backroom parties to headlining raves at every major techno institution the world over, all whilst staying true to the underground with an individual style all of his own. His technical skill, pure selection as a DJ and attention to high-end sound production has placed him at the forefront of a global scene, and established him as a singular presence within modern dance music. 

Recent accolades for his unswerving devotion to his sound have included places in the top 100 DJs polls published by Resident Advisor, DJ Mag and Groove Magazine. Over the years, he’s also received nominations as Best Techno DJ, Best Breakthrough DJ and Best British DJ from Mixmag, DJ Mag and the DJ Awards. He's renowned for playing mammoth closing sets at monumental parties including 10-hour marathons in the world’s most notorious techno clubs, Berghain and Bassiani.

Also known as a prolific producer and successful record label boss, his trademark sound remains in constant rotation among the most respected DJs in dance music, a style which was first fully recognised on his highly acclaimed 2015 album, "Shades of Black". Upon its initial release on his own Monnom Black label, Mixmag named it "Album of the Month", Hardwax described it as “brilliantly banging” and it also took the coveted No.1 spot on Juno Records. 2018 saw Dax release his multi-faceted second solo album “Offending Public Morality”. The record won support across the board, including that of BBC Radio 1 who picked it as their “Biggest Record of the Week”. By the end of 2018, “Offending Public Morality” also featured in the “Top 50 Albums of the Year” lists for DJ Mag, Tsugi and Apocalypse Mag. Two more events that crowned a year of great success were his enrolment into the BBC hall of fame with the release of his debut Radio 1 Essential Mix, and Be.At.TV’s choice of his 4-hour closing set at NeoPop Festival for their “Best DJ set of the year”
