Black Beatles On The Radio - Live Session-

The Daybreakers are explosive , time-warping rockers formed in  London's East End. Initially inspired by frising star  Aidan Connell's  long standing love of British rock's golden era. The Daybreakers channel the same  spirit by mixing up the medicine to evoke the shades as diverse as Thin Lizzy, T.Rex, Bowie, Morphine and The Gun Club.
No stodgy  purists, The Daybreakers hug synths, sampladelica, the avant garde and  pop to their Paisley-patterned bosoms, a three-headed brave Ulysses   for the 2020s. Their unorthodox approach and side stepping of rock norms has set them apart from the crowd, attracting celebrity fans as well as a cross generational following enthused by  their fresh take on rock's sleazier side. With London now a bleak landscape of class divide and growing severity , The Daybreakers shows unite  many cultures, age groups  and backgrounds in the inclusivity of rock'n'roll  music's original spirit.
  The group are led by Irish / Jamaican songwriter and guitarist Aidan Connell who's talents have been sought by Gary Clark Jr, Mazzy Star and Seasick Steve among many others, having released his critically lauded debut solo album 'Grio' via Republic of Music in 2018.
 Initially moving to London in 2009 from the Thames Valley, Connell made ends meet by working on Camden Market (he did a bit of modelling, with Kate Moss, amongst others, after being spotted there), and various labouring jobs. His next musical incarnation was as Melody Nelson – a brash, poppy power trio who earned rave live reviews. Connell soaked up musical experiences wherever he could. He made music with Mazzy Star and Damo Suzuki, jammed with The Black Crowes and Iggy Pop and played alongside the likes of The Libertines and Razorlight. His perseverance got him his own East End studio under a Bethnal Green railway arch, where he could both make a living and record his own material. 
Having sought like minded players, the group is completed by Nick on Bass and Raul Mass on Drums. The group have been tearing it up in packed venues in the UK and Europe, both in their own right and as the obvious stand outs at Starship club nights, which has  attracted such luminaries as Jimmy Page and the late Jeff Beck. They've also recently had  airplay on both BBC Radio 2 and Radio 6 MusicThe Daybreakers debut album was released in May 2023 and has already achieved almost a million streams.
