This month we bring you a special selection from a DJ that will be making his debut under the DDD guise at Number 90 Bar on 25th August - Ryan Oliver.

Hailing from South East London, Ryan Oliver has been meticulously building a library of sounds fit for dancefloor's all over London's vibrant Disco scene such as Brixton Jamm, Corsica Studios, Orange Yard Soho and Number 90.

Heavily influenced but not limited to disco, Ryan's constant search for 'that sound' has culminated in a series of seasonal mixes known as the 'Beat Initiative'. Each mix bringing new flavours and old favourites to the table leading you infectuously, to move.

Luksek is an Italian DJ producer from Florence. His DJ sets offer a blend of various styles and sounds, such as funk, disco & house. 

A fusion that takes inspiration from Italo Disco and the French touch culture. Luksek stands for music without borders or genres, as an international language. Just as Feinstoff does. 

In 2022 he founded Tour de Funk, a disco/ funk/ italo party maker in Florence. In 2023 He joined the famous English label The Disco Express Records. He edited three Italo Disco edits. He shared stages with Chambray, Phil Weeks, Joe Lewandoski, Bustin' Loose, Canblaster and many others.

This episode is a celebration of cosmic disco pioneer, Studio 54 icon, jazz improvisor, and activist, Asha Puthli. Asha is said to have been the inspiration for Giorgio Moroder's early work with Donna Summer, in addition to being sampled extensively in hip hop. She was the first South Asian crossover artist to make a mark on dance, jazz, and pop culture in the West.

Enjoy this space walk through Asha's catalog, starting with some originals, as well as several wonderful remixes just released on Naya Beat Records.
