'The Daydream Disco Mix Series' brings you the best disco, soul, funk and house vibes from artists both established and upcoming. Each mix is made up of 10 of our guests favourites tracks of the moment. This edition we bring your the mammoth disco collective that is Late Night Disco.

Late Night Disco is a DJ duo based in Hackney, London. For the past 8 years, they have been filling dance floors up and down the country, bringing their love for disco and feel-good funk-filled edits whilst supporting headline acts such as Dave Lee, Dr Packer & Dimitri from Paris.

Over the last 8 years, Late Night Disco have established themselves as a leader in playing the perfect disco edits in the capital. From DJ sets all over,  festivals up and down the country, to their own conffeti filled club nights, they have teamed up with some of the biggest names. One thing is for sure, the dancefloor will be full and the good times will be flowing.

This month we bring you a special selection from a DJ that will be making his debut under the DDD guise at Number 90 Bar on 25th August - Ryan Oliver.

Hailing from South East London, Ryan Oliver has been meticulously building a library of sounds fit for dancefloor's all over London's vibrant Disco scene such as Brixton Jamm, Corsica Studios, Orange Yard Soho and Number 90.

Heavily influenced but not limited to disco, Ryan's constant search for 'that sound' has culminated in a series of seasonal mixes known as the 'Beat Initiative'. Each mix bringing new flavours and old favourites to the table leading you infectuously, to move.

Australia is the destination for our most recent edition to the Grooveology mix-series, courtesy of a DJ & Production duo, Melbourne Drum Authority.

With a debut release back in 2020 on Refuge Recordings with their ’Natural High’ EP, they’ve since gone on to deliver their signature jacking house and filtered disco-house tones by the way of labels such as Sense Traxx and Lisztomania.

It was inevitable that the sort of energy that the lads bring to their production was going to translate into their sets, and if its high-tempo, peak-time dance floor action that you are after then you’ve come to the right place with this guest-mix. Featuring music from James Juke, Hijak and an absolute weapon of a closer from Mood II Swing’s John Ciafone, this will have you locked in from start to finish.

Moodena’s success over the last five years has been nothing short of prodigious. His meteoric rise to being ever present at the pinnacle of both the disco & Nu Disco charts has seen him become one of the most in demand DJ/ producers across the globe. 

Crowned Number 1 Nu Disco Artist of the Year two years in a row and a string of number 1 selling singles under his belt has also seen him become hugely sought after as a remixer with recent stand out remixes for Dave Lee on Z Records, Rhyze and John Davis, both on legendary New York label Nervous, ‘The Destroyer’ for Soul Central, and Bellaire’s ‘Sunset Ballad’.

Despite such impressive studio prowess Moodena is perhaps most at home in the DJ booth, seamlessly combining everything from Disco and US Garage to house and Techno. His ability to fully connect with the crowd have seen him play everywhere from Elrow’s Festival in Croatia to Printworks in London to Soho House in Rome and Istanbul, Curfew Festival in Belgium and Heidegluhen in Berlin, one of the globes quintessential underground tastemaker clubs. Meet Nicola Mannini, an Italian-born DJ now soaking up the beats in the vibrant streets of London.
Back in 2000, at the tender age of 15, he dove into the world behind the decks, inspired by the vibes of the '70s and '80s - thanks to the tunes his parents spun on an old turntable during his childhood.

Fuelled by this passion, Nicola had the privilege of starting by spinning tracks at fashion events and catwalks - the perfect backdrop for those vibes.

Along his journey, he had the honour of sharing stages with some notable names and curating events that were memorable.
Now, at the age of 38, Nicola is not slowing down; instead, he's curious to see where the music takes him next, in the city he proudly calls home.

Last July, he dropped his debut single, "Up All Night," available on all major platforms.

Catch him spinning every first Sunday of the month on @blooplondon from 14:00 to 15:00, and every second Sunday on @aajamusic from 14:00 to 16:00.
