The album follows the release of two singles, the relaxed “It’s Better” and the more up-tempo “Kill Lucy” and continues the variety of themes that provide a soundtrack to life in a modern city. The escapism many search for is well documented in the album, be it through partying, sex, alcohol and drugs, but it is also the story of two people and their battle to hold up their relationship in the middle of the tragedies and anxieties of life.

You could almost be reclining on an exotic beach somewhere with a coconut in hand and a hula skirt flapping around your waist, upon listening to ‘It’s Better’. Despite the festival feel of ‘It’s Better’, this is a perfect song for any time of year, as it is both meaningful and cheery, and could most certainly brighten up anybody’s day.
