Label boss Jamie Jones has also contributed, pitching in with cosmic dance floor cut "People From The Moon." The unmixed compilation will be available on CD, digitally and on two 12-inch samplers.

Joe Bradley - better known as Latmun, has somewhat arisen to the very top echelon of contemporary UK house music production. Following the huge releases of ‘Whos That’ on the VIVa Warriors Season 4 compilation mix and ‘Def EP’ on VIVa LIMITED, we are thrilled to welcome back Latmun with another EP worthy of again becoming a staple in everyone’s music collections and DJ sets.

First announcing himself as a resident at Nottinghams clubbing institution, Stealth, Latmun’s career has quickly progressed following the release of ‘Def’ in 2016. Reaching upwards of 150k listens on Soundcloud this expertly produced EP defined Latmun’s sound, who is now known for producing some of the best grooves in UK house and techno. 

Bradley’s latest success has come from Green Velvet’s Relief label where ‘Everybodys Dancing’ and ‘That’s Good’ were released with the EP reaching number 1 overall on Beatport. Prior to this he was a part of the respected 2016 remix package of Velvet’s classic ‘Flash’. Leftwing & Kody’s Lost label has also accommodated a number of Latmun’s releases, notably ‘Cosmic’ which made it to no’ 5 in the charts. Another recent output came as a remix on Emerald City of The Golden Boy’s “Egyptian Lover”, which continued the consistency achieving a number 2 overall.

Support has come far-and-wide for this talented young producer and DJ and he can be found in Ibiza this summer playing for Jamie Jone’s Paradise parties at DC10, along with a number of dates for the Cuckooland Pool Parties at Ibiza Rocks curated by Do Not Sleep. The future is bright for Latmun, and this Tech House EP could easily reach the same heights as ‘Def’ did last year.

After an amazing summer season, both party and release-wise, with Ibiza season just coming to an end, elrow Music starts October with a really cool EP from one of UK’s most promising artists: Sooney. With a strong background in the house, hardcore and jungle scene, this DJ and producer debuts at elrow’s label with the five-tracker ‘Kandi Flip EP’. With three originals by Sooney and two remixes – in the hands of UK’s AJ Christou and Spain’s Ekai – the EP opens with ‘Clap Your Hands (Original Mix)’, a track with a tight percussion, a robotic and deep vocal set and a techno-style progression, although breaking with a housy drop and some really dark FX. ‘How Ya Feelng (Original Mix)’ follows with an even tighter percussion, but a groovier progression and more party-like vocals and general vibe, making this a great banger for peak times in the dancefloor. In this track, you can perfectly hear Sooney’s influences in the broken beats scene, with an amazing breakdown by the end of the track. Then, we find ‘Kandi Flip (Original Mix)’, and immediately one realizes why it’s the one naming the EP. With a looser percussion, a happier progression and a truly ravy vibe, its sound FX are trippy and extraterrestrial, being the highlight of the EP. The amazing and deep male vocals, as taken from a newscast, are just amazing and will make any dancefloor go mad. Being the most tech-house track by Sooney in this record, ‘Kandi Flip’ will make everyone lose it dancing at any moment on the floor. Then we have two amazing interpretations: the first, by AJ Christou, who takes charge of remixing ‘Clap Your Hands’, results in a speeded-up track, with blurred vocals and a clearer tech-house progression. Finally, Ekai’s take on ‘How Ya Feelng’ gets a more melodic and danceable treatment, with a clear use of analogic percussion from all the Roland set: 606’s, 707’s, 808’s and 909’s. Completed with amazing sound FX and a techier progression, it’s a track with a life of its own, perfect for any moment on the floor. All in all, elrow Music closes the summer with yet another amazing EP, retaking with this ERM114 the good costume of high rolling remixes. Next stop: ADE! See you all in Amsterdam!

Hector Couto’s Roush Label welcomes French duo Chicks Luv Us to the imprint this May, alongside a remix courtesy of Madrid’s FreedomB.
Marseille based duo Anthony Fonseca and Julien Nerani, aka Chicks Luv Us, have made a considerable impact since breaking onto the scene in late 2014, releasing productions on Get Physical Music, Wow! Recordings and CUFF, whilst gracing the decks at the likes of Ministry Of Sound and Studio 338 (London), alongside their long-standing residency at Spartacus Club (Cabries). Following recent notable material on Relief, Elrow Music and Repopulate Mars, here we see the duo arrive on Couto’s Roush for a label debut, whilst FreedomB turns in an impressive remix on the flip. Title cut ‘Pick Of The Club’ opens proceedings as slick, metallic drum loops, infectious vocal hooks and rich chords combine fluently, before ‘The Other One’ unveils a medley of soulful female and echoed out male vocals laid over a wicked, driving bassline and energetic snare rolls. Last up, FreedomB’s groove focused remix completes the package as the Spanish producer works swirling synths, regimented percussion patterns and ever-evolving effects to great effect throughout.

Two of house and techno’s most-established talents collaborate on their debut release together, as Hot Creations head Jamie Jones teams up with Mood Records boss Nicole Moudaber on Pepper Shake.

Short, sweet and with no filler involved, Pepper Shake gets us underway swiftly, and the name certainly does the track justice. Up-tempo hats whistle beside a driving bassline, before a female vocal reels in and out. The styles of both artists are present throughout, with Jamie’s signature groove providing the foundation and Nicole’s deeper techno style coming through in the synths. Bubble Ride completes the release. Dark, gritty and harder-edged than its predecessor, this is a stripped-back peak-time club cut, with a penetrating bassline and hard-hitting kick patterns. The occasional pulse of an atmospheric sample further enhances the body of the track, to form something that’s built solely for the dancefloor.
