Daytime Dan is a Chicago based producer who blends heavy bass, retro samples, and analog synth textures to create a sound that blends together retro and futuristic melodies. Originally from Indianapolis and now based in Chicago, Daniel Shaver has been producing music since 2023.

Drawing inspiration from modern artists such as Pretty Lights, GRiZ, and Zeds Dead, and sampling contemporary artists such as Led Zeppelin, John Denver, and The Allman Brothers, his sound incorporates soulful, retro grooves with vibey, hard hitting bass lines.

Dan has performed at Harvest Fest (IN), Mayfest (MI), Burning Man (NV), and several venues across Chicago. He is working on his first EP that he plans to release towards the end of 2025.
