Estamos sumamente emocionados de presentarles el décimo audio de Trasnoche a manos del DJ y productor Dj Platt ; inculcado desde el hogar con la música, experimentando a temprana edad con softwares desarrolló una gran pasión por la producción y el sonido, evolucionando como un gran referente de la nueva era de la música club en Manchester. En 2008 junto a Samrai fundan @swingting ; nombre que en un principio le dieron a su show de radio y a sus noches mensuales con la finalidad de ofrecer un escaparate para nuevos ritmos. Con veneración recolectaron discos de 12 pulgadas, estudiaron la importancia del sistema de sonido, ejecutaron fiestas y años de trabajo propiciaron a formar un sello en forma entre el 2011 y 2014. Diversificándose, crearon una red internacional que catapulto lanzamientos de artistas, DJs, MC’s y productorxs que dio paso a componer un sólido equipo y una estética única que cimento las bases de la nueva era del sound sytem y la escena club actual. 
Platt es un selector con un extenso bagaje musical; que desde sus residencia mensual durante años en Soup Kitchen; lugar donde testeaba tracks y hacia sacudir con garaje, dub, reggae, bashment, producciones propias, etc; atrayendo ravers y delegados de distintas escenas musicales. Con apariciones en las plataformas digitales más prestigiosas, progresando constantemente en sus técnicas como DJ y productor; en 2020 lanza como Swing Ting “100 Dances” álbum de larga duración que refleja el arduo camino que han forjado.
En esta ocasión Platt nos preparó  57 conmovedores minutos, que son sinónimo de sus influencias, moviéndose de una manera pulcra, inquietante y brillante; hilando géneros como soca, grime, dancehall, vocales jamaiquinas; tracks que se difuminan de manera fluida apoyados de samples como alarmas, sirenas y efectos de sonido clásicos del sound system, creando una cadenza contundente, moviendose entre ritmos caribeños, tintes de reggaetón, piezas actuales y joyas del garage.

Love Is Everywhere (Extended Edit)

We follow up our last premiere with a remix from the mighty WheelUP!  Shout out to Re:Fill & Cognitiva Records!

of the full release of ‘Cycles’ by the Jazzfunk duo Re:Fill, Cognitiva shine a light on the incredible remixes that feature on the LP, with the reworks coming from some fine talents indeed.

The sound that Re:Fill are able to conjure up is one of rhythmic complexity, simmering melodic sequences, and an overall feeling of quietly building euphoria that only comes from Jazz laden dance grooves. To assist with the overall vibe of their debut LP, Sofatalk, WheelUP and Ben Hauke were recruited to put their spins on the cuts ‘Impulse’ and ‘Stillness’, and the goods they serve up are truly spectacular. ‘Impulse’ sees both Sofatalk and WheelUP working their magic, with the Sofatalk remix adding in a cosmic tinge to compliment the already wide array of chordal tones, with emphasis placed on the movement between density and spatial vacuums which makes the movement through the phases extra enjoyable. WheelUP takes things down to a saunter, but what a saunter it is, with the feeling captured here one of rhythmic excellence, with the keys enveloping the listener in what could only be described as a blissful bath of melody.

To wrap things up, Ben Hauke really shifts perspectives on ‘Stillness’, with the hazy piano fuelled experience found in the original turbo drived upon a two step leaning beat. The delicate piano that makes the original so intoxicating remains as a rhythmic motif, with plenty of intriguing elements thrown into the mix that keep the mind yearning for more, whilst the beat gets the feet stepping until the early hours.

Three remixes, three differing interpretations, one big wetting of the appetite. This excellent trio only hints at the wider picture, so get locked in until the big day arrives!
